Does Rose X-LITE TEAM size 50 have place for two bottle cages? Anyone have a pic for that frame and size?
I would think it does as it is the same seat tube size more or less (46.1 c to top v 46.5 c to top) as my Canyon Ultimate and that has two mounts.

To be certain the best thing is to drop them an e-mail. If you click on the "ask a consultant" link on the product page it will go to the bike sales manager. I have found him to be pretty quick in replying, but you won't get an answer today, as their customer service is now closed.

I'm also trying to find more information on this, seems it's mainly in Germany that you'll find real owners. I like the styling, just a bit concerned it will be a harsh ride for regular long road rides (a combination of geometry, stiffness and the stretched out position). They list it in the Triathlon section of their site, so I'm not convinced it's right for me.

Update on my Rose Xeon RS-3100
I have my Rose for about a year now, and I've ridden about 7000km on it.
Changed alot of things on it, mostly to save weigh, i'm ging to ride the La Cannibale sportive on it in june and every (safe) gram counts with 4000+ meters of altitude.
    The pictures with some info:

    2Jp0Dnd.jpg
    0skBQoz.jpg
    GNHljy9.jpg
    QnK7dNX.jpg
    0cuSTBL.jpg
    6RoSsIT.jpg

So what's changed: the numbers between (...) is the weight difference.

-Handlebar tape (Bontrager Gel), derailleur and shifterrubbers, all new because of a fall.
-Wheels: Dura-ace C24: weigh less and are more comfortable than the Mavic Ksyrium that came on the bike. For the price u can't find better wheels, 1,387g. (-170gr)
-Brand new Fizik Arione R1: weighs less and are more comfortable than the previous saddle Fizik Arione R7, 145gr. (-90gr)
-Topeak Shuttle Cage CB in Yellow: super happy about these, they are lighter and keep my bottles better than the Elite Custom Race I had before, 20gr each. (-20gr per cage)
-Ritchey Pro Micro V4: one of the cheapest weight savings, great pedals if u use SPD-shoes. The only downside is that u have to retighten these every 1000km or so, 210g. (-166gr)
-Tune AC 14 Quick Release in green so it fits my bike: lightweight QR with internal cam 50gr. (-77gr)
-Procraft PRC SPC1 Seat Clamp: just a cool cheap carbon seatclamp with a bit of green, 12gr. (-25gr)
-Castelli undersaddle XL: lightweight saddlebag that's alot lighter, smaller and still holds everything I want: innertube, multitool, C02 cartridge and presta head, 46gr. (-120gr)
-Lezyne Gauge Drive HP: a bitter heavier than the Road Drive M I used before but with a pressure gauge, 119gr. (+23gr)
-Lezyne V-10 multitool: has everything I need in a lighter package than the one I had before, 101gr. (-48gr)

Also taken of the Deda Metal blast. (-266gr)
Everything (except for the seatclamp) I replaced will be used on my the next roadbike I'm going to buy as a wintertrainer.
So in total a weight saving of 977gr, I'm becoming quite the weightweenie.

Does anyone know what derailleur hanger I'd need for a Rose Xeon RS 3000? I emailed them and they replied saying "part 1802618" so I searched the website and google and nothing comes up. If you search for anything else on the website using the item number, it finds it, so it looks like it isn't even on the website. I emailed again and asked if they could provide a link to the part and the reply I got was "that’s right , please write the item number in the comment text." I don't even know what that means.

A lot of the hangers Rose sell on their website are made by Marwi, so I also checked their website but only one hanger seems to come up when you filter by brand, which isn't the one I need. I've emailed web sales asking where I can order part number 1802618 so I'm waiting on that at the moment but thought I'd check here too.

I've had a few problems with the frame of my bike and will be having it replaced with a new one soon. If anyone is interested, I might be looking to sell it. 63 anodized black.

Call them, there's a UK rep that might be able to help.

hmm, I'll try emailing again and hope they can put it in my basekd. I've been bugging the UK rep so much lately with the problems I've been having with my bottom bracket so I might give him a break. Cheers for the quick replies!

Here's mine, which is the 2nd Rose I've bought...the 1st being an alu frame.

The new Rose I was looking at went up about £300 around EuRef time. My 2010 model (which looks a lot like that one up above this post) is still doing fine.
  • So with xmas festivities rapidly approaching (or here already depending on your point of view), a timely review from the folks at road.cc

I'm debating buying a new summer bike to replace my Canyon Ultimate SLX from 2012. I'm wanting something offering decent value and as light as possible, areo is not a priority. I'm looking at the X-Lite Team 8810 eTap. Does anyone have any experience with this frame or a similar build? Also, how accurate have people found Rose's quoted weights?

    Thanks in advance!
  • How are everyone's Roses doing then? I'd love to hear some recent feedback and see some more pictures!

I think I am about to push the button on an X-LITE CRS-4000, ex demo model at a really good price. It's not quite the colour or wheels I would have gone for, but I do like the matte black and yellow.

Powertorque crank played up for ages then went full spazmo during an 80 mile TT in June. It's been on the wall since then. New warranty crank coming over from Campag.
GREAT bike, I absolutely love it, fast and nervy but great to ride. Wheels were originally Zondas but I replaced with some of Mr Wong's 50mm carbon specials.
  • 80 mile TT?! That must have been super annoying, but lovely bike though, and more a Campy thing than Rose eh?

Yeah, it's a Campag issue. The rest of the bike is superb, and I can't praise Rose highly enough.

  • That's good to hear, makes me excited about getting mine now. I had Campagnolo on my last 'good bike' but will be Dura Ace on the Rose due to the ridiculously good deal I am getting.

Also, you're a brave man getting a bike that white, I trust it doesn't see much rain!?

Only ridden if it's not raining unless on a sportive. Bar tape is the biggest pain, I'd love to find some that stays as white as Tom Cruise's teeth so I may switch colour, also I wish I'd heli-taped a couple of exposed parts to avoid chips (these look horrid on a white frame) and a chain saver thingy should have been fitted from day one - I highly recommend.
  • Good tips, will remember that for when the new bike arrives. I had celeste bar tape on my old Bianchi, and it looked pristine for about a week.
  • Well here is my beautiful new steed! Still not ridden it yet, and will put 25s on it as opposed to the 23s, but am super happy. I'm still struggling to understand how I got the deal I did. Picture is shite - will get another one out in the wilds at some point.

Probably will be mine next year (2018), or it's in the top 3 of the bikes i'm longing for! But it would be a Ultegra DI2 one for me.

Any X-Lite Team frame owners out there? Is there room for 25mm tyres?

The website allows you to spec it with 25s so I'd assume so

I run mine with shwalbe 1 or conyi 4 seasons in a 25. No issues with clearance

What's the real weight of the bike btw, I have a rose and the real weight was quite different from the website, is this also with the x-lite range?
