Hi, apologies for the lack of feedback. I've been struggling to load up piccies as I'm useless at the finer intricacies of this forum malarky. :?
Anyway, this is the bike on delivery day - two weeks ago now...
Dunno if these urls work:

Thankfully Parcelforce were kind to it during carriage and it arrived blemish-free.
Got Rose to change:
- wheels to Mavic Ksyriums
- put on carbon handlebars
- (EDIT) 52/36 Front 32/11 Back
- saddle upgrade
- all finishing kit in matte black
When arrived the brakes were really spongy so go LBS to bleed them (£30)
Have also put my own bits & bobs on after these pictures were taken:
- 2 Elite cages (stealth black)
- 2 Elite Hygene Corsa bottles in grey
- Small under-saddle bag
- mini-pump
- swapped out the cr@ppy Mavic tyres for GP4000s that Rose also supplied gratis
Have managed two rides so far - one in thick fog and the other in a torrential downpour so haven't really tested its performance yet.
LOVE the Di2 gearing and getting used to the capabilities of the disc brakes but as most riding so far has been in the wet/damp they have been EXTREMELY squealey.
Have also just spent my 6000+ Rose points today
Will update again after I finally manage to get a dry ride in...0 -
I have a Rose pro sl. The best bike I've ever owned, much better than my carbon bike. If anybody wants one they are now discounted at Rose as there has been a slight tweak to 2016 model. It's a bargain

And you can have it straight away! Sorry that this doesn't fit the thread theme but thought I'd share with us Rose lovers.0 -
Scudulike, looks like you have the same saddle as myself(Flite?); what saddlepack did you get please? Some won't fit the single rail system.Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011

Sophidog, I got the Topeak Aero Wedge With Straps (Small). £10.40 from a large bike retailer that rhymes with heavens...
With not too much fiddling was able to get the straps through the gap in the monorail.
The small pack is large enough for me to fit 3 replacement tubes, a CO2 cannister, mini-tool AND tyre levers at a bit of a push. :-) The medium & large packs look too large (and a bit silly) on the bike imho
One other thing to note, the strap where the pack fits onto the seatpost can be quite abrasive so I have used a section from an old inner tube to go underneath this strap so the finish on the seatpost doesn't get worn away.
Hope this helps0 -

3 cannisters, 3 tubes - I'm obsessed about p*nctures (have had 3 in one ride before so I've got form!!!)0 -
A little bit of gravel after a 90k road ride. I really need some road tyres.
Very pleased with the bike. General comments;
I thought maybe I'd ordered too big a size (I'm used to a lot more 'pin) but it's really confortable.
Brakes were crap at first but seem to be bedding in a bit (Rose but the front on the right despite three requests for the other way round...grrr)
The tyres are so hard to get on and off and I was totally beaten trying to get Conti 4 season 28s on.
Only two rides (got it yesterday!). 40 on mixed gravel/road with Racing Ralphs. 90 today all on road with Sammy Slicks (not at all slick). I was running at 50psi and it was fine but obviously a bit slower than with a road tyre.

Seems to happen quite often. A number here have 'complained' about this. I wonder why they bother with the option on the order if they're going to ignore it.
Maybe Rose think us British are stupid and have made a mistake. There's no such thing as too old.0 -

I thought it was cool that you could spec it like that (I put it in the comments box too and sent a message). 40 years of muscle memory can't be changed!
I'm going to change it now, just a bit of a pain to do it.0 -

2 months with the cdx 3100 after 1 1/2 month waiting. Love the bike, unfortunately can't ride as much as I want.
I was lucky, the box was untouched, no issues with delivery. But I requested euro brake position, but they put UK. So I emailed them and we agreed if I take it to the LBS and Rose will paid up to £50. All good, have my brakes how I like it now!
I found the saddle to be very slippery and uncomfortable. Miss my ritchey carbon streem from my old bike
I have a rattle in rough roads, I'm sure is the di2 cables in the downtube, any solution for this?
Took a few pictures today. waiting for my carbon clinchers and schwalbe pro one tubeless to be fit soon! and slam the stem...just a bit

Made mine better by junking the ugly post mount front brake. Now sporting a flat mount which i think looks miles better. Also has the benefit of losing a lot of the exposed brake line at the bottom of the fork.
Old one.

I want to do the same, could you explain how did you do it?
I know I need the new flat mount caliper, but I cannot find enywhere the mount for it! Is included with the caliper? Could you post a link?
Looks miles better!! Well done!0 -
Easy to do, you will need the following :-
A bleed kit (Bleed funnel, bit of tube, some mineral oil & a syringe), new olive and insert (for the shortened brake line), new flat mount calliper & mount. The little yellow blocks for holding the line while putting in the insert (can get away without this if careful)
You have a choice with the calliper RS505 (105 spec) or RS805 (ultegra spec) both look the same so I got the 505 as it is a bit cheaper (I understand the internals are pretty much the same). If you order a front calliper they come with a reversible mount (one way up takes a 160 rotor, the other way a 140). Evans do them for £32 and they come with new pads included. Probably cheaper from the EU but once postage is added there is not much in it.
Put bike in stand, remove front wheel (to make sure no oil gets on rotor), take out brake pads. Unbolt old calliper from the post mount, then remove mount, undo brake line to calliper, a little oil will drip out.
Next remove pads from new calliper and bolt mount to calliper (which way depends on rotor size), use a little thread lock on bolts. Offer calliper up to fork leg to determine length of brake line required (I chopped a good couple of inches off mine), mark line (I used a bit of tape) and chop off end (just above existing insert and olive).
Now pull brake line back through fork leg (makes it easier to put new insert in) and cut square to length required. Put in new insert, thread back through fork leg (no fiddling required, seems to have internal route). Bolt mount and calliper back on to fork but leave bolts a little loose (will adjust later). Put connector nut and olive on brake line and connect to new calliper. Now bleed calliper (use bleed block insert which comes with the calliper), details for bleeding available on Youtube so I wont repeat here.
Once bled, replace brake pads and put wheel back in. Hold brake on to centre calliper and tighten the bolts which were left loose earlier. Thats it, job done. May need to tweak calliper position to eliminate brake rub but really it is an easy process.
The old pads are different to the new ones and do not fit the new calliper, I kept them as spares to use on the back as I'm not intending to change the rear to flat mount.
Hope that helps.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)

Thank you so much for the guide, great stuff!
I think the post mount is my least favorite thing of this bike. Completely look out of place.I will swap it as soon as I get the tools required
Does anyone have vibrations when braking with the front wheel? Feels like the whole bike vibrate! Only happen at slow speeds and on the hoods, when on the drops is all good
cheers0 -

Glad it was of use. Just a couple of points for completeness. Once the job is done there is a plastic lock plate that prevents the bottom mount bolt from coming loose which needs to be snapped into place. There is also a minute pin which pushes in the calliper body and engages with a slot in one of the mount to calliper bolts. Both are extra safety features and should be fitted but wait until you are happy with the adjustments before doing so.
Regarding your vibration. My front made a horrible noise and vibrated when I first got it. I did about 10 hard stops using just the front brake (from about 20 mph to maybe 5, did not stop completely), after that treatment the squealing and vibration went away. I think maybe slight contamination or insufficient bedding in were to blame.
P.S. The new brake does not squeal or vibrate so have not had to repeat the treatment.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)

Just pulled the trigger on a X-LIte CRS 3100. It took a lot of 'research', change of mind, doubt that this is the right investment, oscillating between Canyon and Rose, but I assume this is the typical process everyone is going througth.
Only dissapoitment is about waiting time. I find the info Rose is providing in their stores a bit misleading.
Product was 'green' and availability immediate, still, now the estimated delivery time is 5 weeks...and I know in the back of my mind that relevant factor in deciding Rose over Canyon was the waiting time.
Anyway... Overall, quite excited. Will post some photos when it will show up.
Only concern is about level of contort. Seen some reviews mentioning that it could be a harsh ride.
I own a CAAD10 - geometries are pretty similar, so hopefully not harsher than my caad.0 -
Depends how flexible you are into how harsh a ride is. I ordered my 3100 in March, it arrived end of April and was no where near as harsh as I was expecting. I prefer a racier frame to a relaxed one anyway.Rose X-Lite CRS 3100

To those that own a Xeon CGF or CDX, how to you find the front end?
I've read reviews that suggest the front end is harsh and prone to being buzzy and with alot of the local roads being chip seal I'm keen to do my best negate it's effects.0 -
My CDX is fine on chipNseal. 25mm GP4000 2's running at 85 psi front, 95 rear. Can't say its harsh in any way, the Xtreme gel comfort tape probably contributes to the plush feel. The reports of buzzyness bothered me before I got one, not any more.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)

Thanks that's reassuring.
I should have asked earlier, would they fit a 28mm tyre?0 -
not tried yet, seat tube clearance is close so sticking with 25mm for time being. Would be interested if someone has tried 28mm.Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011
Turbo: Fuji Nevada Mountain Bike(Y2K)0 -
I've not actually tried to put a 28 on either. Been out for a quick look/measure and like Sophidog the seat tube clearance is the issue. A 28 will definitely go on the front as there is loads of clearance. On the rear it is the height of the tyre rather than the width which will be the limiting factor. I measured about 4mm clearance at the tyres highest point (25mm GP4000 2's). As I understand it tyres come up in varying sizes depending on the combination of rim width/type, pressure and make/model of the tyre. So if you really want 28s I'd probably try and borrow one from a mate and see if it clears with that particular wheel/tyre combo.
Just re-read your question, if you meant will Rose fit a 28mm in preference to a 25, sorry no idea.
As a follow up I measured the width of my 25's on the DT Swiss rims, they come in at just over 27mm wide. So in reality you are almost getting 28's when you order 25's
I've also noticed that the 2 largest frame sizes have a slightly longer rear end (just a couple of mm), I assume this is to cope with the steeper seat tube angles on the bigger bikes.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)

Maidann, I have an x-lite CRS 3000 (since July). Regarding the harshness of the ride, this was a concern of mine also. Firstly, have you ordered with 25mm tyres. That will help. I still found the ride quite harsh at first but have dropped the tyre pressures i run on and this has made a huge difference. I always used to run over 100 psi. I now run 90 front and 95 rear and am now happy with the ride. I'm sure you'll enjoy the bike.0
-
Thanks hilly!
It's reassuring to hear that you manage to set up the bike in a way that decresses the harshness.
Also - great advice on the tyre pressure. I've ordered 25s, but I would have probably use then at 100+ psi as I do with my 23s on my CAAD.
All I need to do know is wait:) Initial estimated delivery date was in 5 weeks. It suddenly drop to 1 week and then back to 40
