This is interesting as a concept. Is Froome so insecure that he would prefer to ride with his mates than have an on form Kennaugh on board? I can see why he wouldn't trust Wiggo to do a job, but Kennaugh turned himself inside out and back again for Froome last year and on form, must be worth a place in the team.
Is it as simple as Kennaugh just not hitting form in time to convince the selectors to pick him?0 -

Nibali slowing it up for him.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Went down with nobody else involved, front wheel slipped out. Back on bike but not looking happy, Nibali looking concerned.
Didn't look like he was pushing hard, more like he hit a slick patch?0 -

Just because a rider crashes when not taking unnecessary risks does not mean that applies to Bertie. Stop being a child.

What, ASO are letting criminals race in the Tour?
Are they on parole, day release, or just not convicted yet?
Who are they - the whole peloton?
We need to know.0 -

I appreciate that's what he is there for and that he arguable does a pretty fair job of it (mostly before the coverage starts), but better in that role than Knees or Suitsov?
Edit: Its actually immaterial now as Pate is in the team and he won't be substituted before ParisCoach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
Mick Rogers continues to prove how outdated the idea of preparation races is. It's genuinely remarkable how he's ridden this year.0

Tweet something along those lines to the people that were talking sh*t about Contador. He hit a hole with one hand off the bars then crashed...not something for those idiots to bang on about.Contador is the Greatest0 -

I believe Jurgen van den Broeck was an eyewitness and said he was descending recklessly.

Pinot has his boys on the front.
“It’s the first real summit finish. Charmousse is big climb and you could say that it’s the first big rendezvous for the climbers. But it’s a climb that I like a lot. It’s long and regular: it’s a climb where something can happen,” Pinot said.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Exactly. However the commonly accepted story is that he reached for a bar in his pocket and hit a hole with only one hand on the bars. Which is not reckless.Contador is the Greatest0 -

It seems now that if your domestique falls the peloton are prepared to wait
and hand the stage to the breakaway.
