Maybe Chinny will do his patron thing and they'll just cruise in...
Nahhhh...
Except he isn't patron any more. Besides, I want to see attacking racing, not a procession.0 -
Yeah ok bla bla.
Lets just remember Cheese, Customs, Geology, Wine and erm what else...

Am I right in thinking the first sector tomorrow will be the left turn at the cafe on the Crossroad of Trees?0

Interesting tidbit from Inrng - You're not allowed to have people waiting with wheels and stuff like that. Team mates or cars only for support.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

Iain I cant see anything countering what he said before about not neutralising and racing 100% for the win.
In any case what is he trying to say? Its ok to race them in the dry but in the wet it is not acceptable?Contador is the Greatest0 -

This seems unnecessary.Contador is the Greatest0 -

I rode a few sections yesterday and it didn't seem that bad to me. Well, it was pretty bad, but no worse than usual.0 -

He didn't say it but he did question the wisdom of it.
If Contador ended up on the pave with a broken shoulder, people who are Contador fans will not like it. It's not like P-R where you can climb off if you don't like it.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

People have won in the wet. The last wet PRB was 2001 and the winner is a domestique for SKY.0 -

Listening to the Cycling Podcast it sounds like the teams are doing it anyway.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

Not trying to sound harsh (because obviously I don't wish anyone injured), but that's racing and this is a race. They should go for it and whatever happens, happens.0 -

No, the route is going in the opposite direction. They go from Gruson towards the café at the Carrefour de L'Arbre.0 -

Cheese
BOULETTE D'AVESNES
Crushed Maroilles kneaded again with fine herbs, parsley and pepper, which is hand-shaped to a pyramid. This subtle combination gives a particulary aromatic and flavoursome cheese.0 -

That's how they knead the maroilles. They lay it on the pave and cycle over it.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Oh that's fine - personally I think a few cobbles are fine but a lot of them and the risk of rain is too much for a Grand Tour. I do not want any rider falling foul of the GC due to an issue tomorrow.
I would much prefer to see stage race specialists ride proper stage races and cobbled specialists race the cobbles rather than some GC riders dicing with luck and looking altogether uncomfortable.
That being said, the wet 'Italian Roubiax' stage Evans won was up there in all time great days of racing and I really enjoyed the lesser cobbled stage in the Tour.Contador is the Greatest0 -

How is it any different to any other crash? Look at 2011 Wiggins for example.0 -
I think for a GT the challenge should be more Flanders than P-R. The course still allows for a selection but is just a bit less 'gimmicky' with more types of rider having a chance to do something. Saying that, Contador and Andy done brilliantly last time.Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0

Meh. If you don't like it, go ride the Giro!0

Can't argue with that really. The parcours was announced last year.Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0 -
cobbles + rain + dodgy wrist = Skyfall
Has anyone not seen my piccy of the Princess of Cambridge - in the green jersey (dress ). I just go that
