Fill me in. What advantage is this supposed to offer? Cool factor I suppose, but what else? :?
They say:
"Pro road racers who use Berner's uniquely oversized rear derailleur cages have sworn time and again that they reduce drivetrain friction thanks to their humongous 15-tooth pulleys. Get the advantage over the competition with the stunning Berner derailleur cage- upgrade your Shimano or SRAM drivetrains with the cage that has been proven to lower drive-train resistance and is used by pros such as Fabian Cancellara, Ryder Hejesdal and Phillipe Gilbert"
I guess it would give you a 0.0000001 mph advantage.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Not that uber with manual gears!
Also I'm sure that seatpost could be more aero.
is that a bottle build into the cockpit with the straw poking out the top!?0 -

Although interesting that Keisse is also riding the same bike as Cav.
What bike was Terpstra riding the other week?
Dowsett rode an alu Canyon at Revolution, I don't suppose it makes such a difference on the track as they weigh nothing anyway!0 -

To be fair, you need to see the bike from the other side for the full 'uberness'. Mono fork and mono rear stays.

Looks even more distinctive from the non-drive side;

Look more aero.
Looks like I was right about the water bottle.
Do like the integrated brakes. Is there a risk of overheating there?
Also with only one side Seatstay/Chainstay, stiffness could be an issue?0 -

How do you know it isn't super aero? Or do you just want it to LOOK more aero? :?
Obviously no way of knowing for sure, but the bike looks pretty standard around this area and so a deeper post will be more aero, especially since it doesn't seem especially thin. Strange that they seem to have respected UCI regs in this area.0 -
Really liking the FDJ kit 8)0

White shorts!?!?!?! We just got rid of Costa's white shorts, now this?! FFS, this won't be a nice look in the classics at the start of the season when it rains!0

Haha I didn't even notice the lack of fork and rear stays. These triathletes are such geeks.Contador is the Greatest0

does uber have a tie in with Canyon as that rig has similar tube profiles to the speedmax and it is displayed with there city bike or is that because both bikes won eurobike awards?eating parmos since 1981

FWIW I'm with ya on that. Although "geeks" wouldn't be my choice of a word to describe them.
I think my issue with tri-geeks is the same issue I have with Harley riders. Everything they talk about is Harley this and Harley that. Tri guys seem to go down that same road. It's all Ironman this and Ironman qualifier that. Problem is I can tolerate a little Harley this and Ironman that but beyond that I have very little interest in either, yet these people seem to have nothing else to talk about. While I'm a pretty good listener, there is only so much Harley / Ironman talk I can endure. I find myself wanting to scream "Get a life".0 -

Yep, CAAD10 aluminium frame, although the paint is not standard I suspect. Top tube decal looks a little amateur too. Those Zipp bars are about the best looking shape out there.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
