Good job the septic tank on the finish line said she was rooting for Cav and not van garderen, reckon she would have been lynched

Erm there's not a lot happening. The break is going as slowly as the peloton.

Surely they all just want to get the first day out of the way safely and without any incidents.

Dunno, I was still trying to absorb the insight the woman gave 'it's very different to riding in London, London is flat and this isn't' or so etching on those lines. She could also have said London is full of cars but that nugget would have blown my mind.

Eyes down look in, superb crowds. Good to see Jensie and Bretagne Seche in the first break of the Tour (and Cofidis in their only break of the Tour)

These are some ugly ass graphics on ITV. Good idea to break it all down for newcomers though.

To be fair, this is selling Yorkshire to le tout monde. And one of the reasons for Yorkshire bidding for le Tour.
It looks great, doesn't it? If it wasn't north of the M4 I might be tempted.

Yeha it's new. Saw it in the GCN pre-tour ride with them. Can't believe it hasn't been done before, makes so much sense. Easy and efficient.

The riders are going to struggle to find a place to make a call of nature in some kind of privacy!
