Not as one would have wished. Exciting finish though.

4 second time gap. Did Froome put some time into Contador?

Kittel's a monster. Good effort from Sagan and Farrar

    Got to love Cance

Not sure how badly Cav is hurt. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's broken something.

F ucking Cav. Your team make you really well them you headbutt Gerrans then lock your handlebars and break your collarbone. Where are you Greipel? Shame Kittel took that. Wicked from Cancellara - ace if he held on.

    FROOME SIXTH.

Good final. Pity about the crash - Dunno what Cavendish thought he was doing there.

I'll risk some wrath - Some of the roads are too narrow for the Tour.

Looked naughty by Cav, seems to get overly aggressive when he can see it slipping away

I put £10 on Kittel at 5/2, great odds but I didn't want that to happen. Let's hope Cav is ok but it doesn't look good :(

    Where are you Greipel?

Pretty sure Greipel had to swerve out to avoid the crash and lost too much speed to finish well.

Whilst it looked like Cavendish and Gerrans were both engaging in some head butting we didn't see who/what instigated that...

    Agree with both points.

I don't really care though. The crowd was amazing and it's done nothing but good for British Road Cycling.

Completely gutted for Cavendish. I told my wife that he'd broken his collarbone as soon as I saw him lying on the ground with his left hand up. What absolute sh*tty luck! :(

Where was he supposed to go? Gerro was leaning on him and he had no choice but to lean back.

Well no crashes today apart from the last one and the lead in was as wide as you like. Absolutely no problems with the roads.

Yeh. Initially they put the time gaps up but they've obviously decided the crash created the time gaps. Which is debatable.

Some gaps in the peloton. Froome gained 10 seconds on Contador.

    Edit: Maybe not.

That's not fair. Looking at the overhead it is clear that Gerrans was trying to squeeze Mark out. With Kittel on his right he had no where to go.

Gutted for Cav. Good on him crossing the line on his bike.

Cancellara is awesome, would have loved it if he had of crossed first.

Looks like kittel's last man sitting up made cav come round into gerrans.

Third year running cavendish crashes in the early stages. Unfortunately cavendish was at fault this time and has now paid the price and now out the tour.

When I said Froome has got a great sprint out of the GC riders I was laughed at. Well there you go.

With that place he puts his team car well up the field which could prove useful tomorrow with the nature of the roads.

David Millar saying almost certainly collarbone. All Cav's fault. Idiot.

Well no one picked Navardaskus for third now did they!

I am GUTTED. Would you believe me if I told you I was wondering yesterday when Cav was going to have a big crash and bust a collar bone?

I must have watched a diff race to you. Cav came over and leaned on Gerrans causing the crash..... Kittel. Showing he is the boss

They were leaning into each other. Try opening your eyes.
