    All together. Very exciting.

Fun fact of the day: Verbier 2009, Tony came 12th.

He can certainly climb reasonably well when he needs to.

Belkin rider using the pavement in breach of the rules. I'm not expecting a sanction later.

Frank looking good. Kreuziger fine. Tony starting to struggle. Neo pro Chaves attacks. Pinot dropped...fail.

Chaves takes it for Kreuziger and Mollema, ahead of a group with Frank, Costa, Martin

Great little win by my man Chaves. Fortune favors the brave. Second MTF win this year ahead of experienced pros. There are going to be some dangerously good riders fighting for GC in 3-5 years.

Contador's wingman takes 2nd ahead of Mollema. Tony only 15 secs off...

Haha fewer than may seem...they just win or perform a lot.

And I'm sure Formolo is one of FF's men too: 21 year old Cannondanle neo-pro, climber, decent TT, attacked today
  • Bohanni drops Ellisonde ? Martin drops Pinot ??

    Mollema looks good

Great ride by Big ToneTM. I can't see him losing 1 minute to Costa tomorrow unless today really took it out of him.

Who Tony or Oleg ? :)

Joking aside, a great performance from Tony. He is so rock solid on the bike compared to most of the others in that group who looked like they were wrestling a walrus in comparison. I'm sure that form must generate a not insignificant amount of extra watts (or to be more precise, deliver it with less waste)

*think* I saw a quote from Pinot saying he is ill and taking anti-biotics atm.

I think he is happy that a Stage win gives Nicolas Roche overall lead in Route du Sud
Nicolas Roche has shown he is hitting top form in the lead up to the Tour de France with the Irishman winning stage two of the Route du Sud race in France today.

Roche attacked on the day's final climb – Val Louron – with the Tinkoff Saxo rider making his move inside the final five kilometres.
He soloed from there to the finish line, reaching it alone and taking both the stage and the overall leader's jersey.

The race ends tomorrow with a stage to Castres.
Roche's Tinkoff Saxo team will ride to protect his advantage and try to ensure that the he takes what would be the first overall stage race success of his career.

Bit of a reshuffle of yesterdays stage with Rogers 2nd and Valverde 3rd ( ).
Boswell again in the top ten.

Am I in the wrong thread? I thought I was in Switzerland and it turns out to be the Pyrenees.
Well, at least the weather was very good...........in Verbier, I mean.

Deignan holding a bit of form. Any chance he'll get Henao's Tour slot?

Sounds like there is a fair bit of action today.

Pretty strong break with a handful of GC outsiders in it.

Looks like Rui Costa and Mollema are in the front group whereas Kreuziger and Martin are not. They are just over 1 minute ahead of Tony Martin's group. So Costa is almost the virtual yellow jersey.

    Don't know how this happened.
