awesome! Now get a few scratches on her!

I dropped my Bronson (well I went over the bars) on my first ride - I heard the frame hit the ground even while I was still rolling to a halt. I was more worried about the bike than any injury I might have sustained!

First ride on my brand new mega the other week, I stacked it riding over a tricky rock section, and as soon as I went down, i heard it hit something. Got a big old scratch on the fork lowers, down to the metal. I've been fine with it since, no point babying it!

Yep seen those bars, look nice but as I have the ENVE's I think I will just stick with them.

You are going to have to do something about those fork graphics though - clash-tastic

    In summary...

    - "Significantly" better and a touch lighter than the current 34 but if you do have a current 160mm 34 then better to spend £100 on the new damper and tune for that rather than a grand on the 36

    - There or thereabouts with the Idylle & Pike

    - Still too frequent service requirements but good to see Fox back in the game etc etc

Thanks for that. I cannot wait to get out on it and give it a pasting now. Should have it fitted on Wednesday.

The only reason I got one is it was the same cost as a Pike and already having one of those for one bike I'd like to try something different on the other. I like the feel of the RC2 cartridge on a 40 so it's well worth a try.

WMB said they found it a bit stiffer than the pike, probably helped by the 20mm axle
The fact there's no QR would annoy me as I pack my bike into the car by removing the front wheel

Should complement your Nomad well though Rick.. Just need to coordinate the decals now :)

I'd have done the same in your shoes...someone's gotta give these things an impartial test & review

Well the 36 is on and feels pretty nice. Feels as smooth as the Pike out of the box and as long as the damper does not crap itself every few rides it will be a vast improvement on the pike so all is good. Looking forward to getting it out on the trails shortly.

I can see Aqua decals working well replacing the orange. Kashima works though. Matches the maxxis logo.

Have to say that imo the fox forks look so much better than boring black rockshox forks - but i think the decals clash with the wheels pretty badly.

Jesus wept, it's like a 5 year old was left to play with Paint!

It could go either way, but if you could get complementary decals on the forks you may get away with it!

That really is something special. If you ever get to Chengdu (now that BA have a direct route) I would recommend you bring the Nomad and spend a few days here. We have some very "Nomad shaped" mountains around here.

Thanks. I cannot take my bike away with me on a trip as the box needed for it is larger than our permitted crew luggage allowance :( .
