Santa Cruz Nomad 650b build

My Santa Cruz Bronson has gone to pastures new and I have bought a new Nomad to replace it, oh and a Solo/5010C as well
I loved the Bronson I really did, its a great bike, does everything well and I never tired of riding it. Then the Nomad came out and I thought I fancied one but it was so close to the Bronson there was no point unless I sold the Bronson, but then I'd be short of a full suspension bike for general use, so I decided to buy a Solo C too.
Anyhow enough of that. Here is the spec, the frame is due mid to end of June, I cannot bloody wait!
Nomad 650b,
Monarch Debonair shock,
Pike 160mm forks (until I can get a new 36 ),
Reverb seatpost 150mm,
Fizik Gobi carbon saddle,
Easton Haven stem,
ENVE DH bars,
ENVE AM rims,
DT240S hubs,
XX1 Cassette,
XX1 Rear mech,
XX1 Chain,
XX1 Trigger shifter,
Race Face Next SL 2014 chainset,
36 tooth Race Face chainring,
Easton lock-on grips,
Maxxis HR II tyres,
XTR M988 Trail brakes,
200mm ice tech front rotor,
180mm ice tech rear rotor,
Invisiframe frame protection.
As people will see almost everything is getting carried over from my Bronson with a few minor changes.
Got these few bits and changed the fork over tonight:
Out with the old and in with the new:

As little as possible and still draw a wage!
If its any consolation the Solo is not going on Enve's, I'm about to order some Light Bike rims for it. Ive sat and juggled prices and I just cannot justify a set of Seventy30's for this to move these onto a Solo.
The only consideration is do I get them to build them or do I just buy rims, I'm thinking just rims tbh and have them built here.0 -

Don't believe that for one minute! Successful people have many attributes but they're rarely lazy
Nice bikes, you're a lucky boy0 -

Rick, as you're always so secretive about your job we can only assume that you must be a spy or a hitman, for the following reasons:
1. You always ride around on the blingingest kit available, so you must be freelance as the British Government probably don't pay their spies that well :-) CIA perhaps?
2. You tend to fly off around the world at the drop of a hat. You must have a humongous amount of airmiles.
You make the rest of us look inadequate but hats off to you for keeping us safe :-)2010 Lynskey R230

LOL.
I'm always flying off around the World as I work for a large UK based airline!0 -

Trolley dolly... knew it.
Can't wait to see your new build, it's going to be amazing for sure!0 -

It was not through choice! Said airline closed where I worked down and it was a case of leave or go to another base in the UK as crew. I chose the latter0 -

buddy_club wrote:Ah, another person on the forum using the Trailhead..... that means your living locally ay.... you going on holiday this year? Need a bikesitter?
I'm using them as they offered me a great deal on the two frames, plus the invisiframe dude is right on the doorstep so they can drop them in to have it fitted and then pick them up Plus its pretty much on my drive home from work so I can swing in and get them.
As for the colour, there is only one colour worth getting one in :oops:0 -
I know right? Obvs it's stealthninjaassassin black, rather than baby blue and pi... Sorry, cyan and magenta. ;-)Santa Cruz 5010C

While its going to look cool as f*ck, and I'm very jealous, I would of mixed it up more with the coloured stickers, it looks like you have stickers it up the same as the full builds from SC. I would of done one wheel pink, the other blue, then flipped it oposite on the other side of the wheels, driveside front pink, rear blue, non driveside front blue, rear pink.
It's the subtle differences that make them stand out from the crowd that little bit more, otherwise, sexyyy.0 -
Well, this is going to be my favourite mountain bike on the forum!

I have no idea what's going on here.0 -
Thanks everyone.
The Pikes are destined for the Solo so I decided to go with decals that looked good on the pictures rather than mess around experimenting. This will be getting some 36's, hopefully I can track down a set in America next month I ideally wanted one with no shock but it was not a option.0 -
