It doesn't do the cutting itself, but is used in a cutting process.............

A saw guide for cutting beams. Hopefully not as I don't want to have to find something else.

Someone post something nice and obvious

Maybe it was too obvious, Veronese has got it already!!!

It's a saw guide for pushing bits of wood towards the blade when using a band saw (I've always used a piece of wood with a notch cut out which we called a push stick)

    That's not its primary function.
  • It looks like it is part pillar drill, part lathe and part weighing scales.

is it for forming metalwork? the wheel moves the screw up and down, the large dial on the front tells you the pressure and the point above the screw is what the metal is formed around? or for pressing two parts together?

Looks like it works the same as a crank puller for square taper bottom brackets. I presume it's not a crank puller, though.
  • Makes me think of plumbing, some kind of tap or valve?

Yes. It removes the olives from 15 or 22 mm pipe.

No idea. If so, not by me, it's a commercial product.

    Oi.

Having guessed the object, the object of the game is to find a new object.

If you don't find a new object, I've found that people usually object.

You'll have to forgive Piña the Diva, she's not very bright. Its the result of forgetting which drink she'd slipped the Rohypnol into and then drinking the wrong one too many times. I'll get Arran to start posting why are we waiting soon.

I think this gender inversion is some sort of wishful thinking on your part V68, it does concern me.

I have the copyright on 'Why are we waiting' as it was my conception so he'll have to ask permission from me if he wants to use it.

So if it isn't for controlling a fluid or a gas, I can't think what it is.

You have no need to worry.

But he has taken the idea and let it run.....and run.....and run.....ad infinitum.
