A couple from this mornings ride over Cragg Vale

    Looking down the vale

At the top of Blackstone Edge just before dropping into Littleborough for a brew.

To comply with the title of this topic i.e. scenic and to help the Littleborough tourist board you could have just nipped over to the other side of the carpark to take it out of view and maybe the power lines would not be so obvious then. :)

Was probably looking to catch the slightly industrial feel of the place. :)

Well it is/was a cotton town. In fact my house is built on top of what was a huge mill lake.

First decent evening for months, rather than race I just went for a local leisure cruise. It was lovely! Had to take the obligatory Jodrell Bank photo.

Are you overlooking Lago di Como, possibly near Bollagio? Some of the most scenic cycling I've done has been around Lago Maggiore, at the Swiss end of the lake.

    Damn, in too late.

Is Ghisallo really that far out of Bellagio? I'm taking my bike over in the truck this summer but I doubt (ie wife says...) I'll have time to get out that far.

I have a tour of the more mountainous parts of northern Italy lined up for late June. Very much looking forward to it, hopefully I'll have some scenic views like your's to post in early July.

I have a tour of Lake Como planned within a 25km (or one hour according to the Mrs) radius of our base in Menaggio

The views may get repetative I'm afraid.

The Ghisallo climb starts in Bellagio, it's 9km to the top (including a bit of flat/downhill about 2/3 of the way up).

You can do a 50km loop taking in Ghisallo and the Muro di Sormano - not for the faint-hearted although you can avoid the Muro and stay on the main road - before dropping back down to the lake at Nesso.

Thoroughly recommended, it's a beautiful part of the world.

No hills in Norfolk, but oil seed rape and big skies.

I can't match the bike or the view, but to continue the Olympic theme, here's my bike outside the Olympic museum in Lausanne, just prior to the Tour du Leman a couple of years ago.
