Me again. What a beautiful weekend. On Saturday I cycled on one side of the ridge in this photo in cold damp misty depressing weather. At the top of the climb you go through a tunnel, one side damp and grim, the other glorious sun. Looking back up from the sunny side, the cloud was pouring over the top of the ridge like a waterfall. The photo really doesn't do it justice.
Sunday was even better with clear blue skies and just enough sun to show off the chrome nicely on the Moser, bit windy though.

Great pics. The top one is the first hairpin on the Passwang descent to Erschwil.
It is stunningly beautiful in the Jura this autumn. Unfortunately, I did not get so far out this weekend, a mechanical on the Grellingerstrasse ascent to Seewen put paid to my plans.0 -
Passwang wasn't so difficult, extra points if you know the location of the second photo.
Really was an impressive view looking south on Passwang. When I took that photo there was a another guy on a motorbike in the same layby taking photos, and a couple of cars had stopped further up the hill to get their mobiles out.0 -
Well, let me see. narrow lanes, cows in green meadows and cherry trees. Not much to go on, really. Could be anywhere in Basel Land!0

Bit unfair, it was just outside Nenzlingen on the road to Blauen.0 -

Not my bike, but me on the hire bike as one of 12 from UK on charity bike ride through Death Valley, USA at the start of November.
Incredible challenge (even without the broken elbow suffered on day 2 of although didn't know broken until I was back in UK and went to get it checked) , fantastic trip, & surpassed only by the fact I met and rode with 11 amazing people I can now call friends.

How do I get the image to show and not the link?0

You need to copy and paste the BBCode, which can be found under the "Share" link. Was it as hot as they say?
Ah, thanks !!
It was COLD!! About 2 weeks before we went (which was 7th Nov), they'd had massive storms - "Thousand-year rains" - some roads washed away etc.
Should have been high 20 C's to 30 C when I went, but temperatures had plumetted a week before we went - and foolishly I hadn't packed base-layers, long-sleeve jerseys, wind-block layers, full-finger gloves as well as mitts, arm warmers, leg warmers etc!! WHY WOULD I, I'M OFF TO DEATH VALLEY I thought!
Expected it to be chilly in evenings when not cycling, but not during the mornings. It warmed-up most days, but was a chilly start - nay, bloody freezing start some mornings! real teeth-chattering, can't feel if my fingers are pulling the brakes kind of cold!!
And I wasn't prepared for the gusting 35mph winds heading up from Stovepipe Wells to Towne Pass on day 2 either (which is what ripped the bike from under me, and I used my elbow as a nice soft landing cushion on the tarmac.....). And one by one we jumped into the Mini-Bus at Towne Pass to defrost, before the steeper descent to Panamint Springs - fighting the winds on the way down, struggling to keep the bike both upright and below 40mph, scariest thing most of us have done on 2 wheels!!!0 -
Took a couple of shots today while out riding the local hills. You can get more pics and the full story at The Small Country Cyclist.

Well, this seems like a sadly forgotten thread. Fear no more though, I've been out riding again and brought back some new photos.
Here's a sample, and more can be found at my blog as usual. Click here or down in my sig.
