    OPQS rider on the front to keep the pace high - in Kwaitek's interests.

    Valverde goes at 1km to race. HARD. Contador covers but has to work very hard.

    That was a lightning attack by Valverde. Poels was the guy that covered...should be back with Kwaitek although Poels is reasonably placed himself I guess.

    Very smooth and fast descent this one.

    Contador finally comes through at 6km to go. Poels is off the back by a cpl metres.

    Gap back is only about 100m

    Ok maybe this climb was not tough enough but Valverde and Contador are clearly miles ahead of the others and should have gone at the base -2km.

    Valverde better win this...his whole team buried themselves for him.
