While I have nothing especially constructive to add, this thread has provided a few moments of comedy gold.

It is laughable to think he hasn't had a conversation with SdJ about what Sky do training-wise.

Bit harsh IMO calling Contador a liar with no evidence.

That's true, he's never been one for lying.

Yep, he has lied before and is likely to lie again. His current form is suspicious imo.

Contador confessed to eating steak, nothing else as far as I am aware.

Even though the evidence is overwhelming that he was blood doping. The only reason CAS ruled it wasn't proven he was doing blood transfusions is because they didn't understand when you would expect to find plasticisers in someone's blood and when you wouldn't. There were experts sat in the court room who could have cleared that up in minutes, but they weren't allowed to give evidence after hours of negotiating by contador's lawyers. He got off on a technicality and is guilty as sin.

Do you understand what you are talking about ?

Do you know what Plasticisers are used for?

Do you know if there is a legalised test by a sporting body for plasticisers being found in an athletes sample?

It's all very interesting stuff if your that way inclined.
Hello rayjay, are you back on your favourite subject? I thought you got banned for you constant boring doping discussions? Didn't last long did it?

Mods, can we have a separate doping forum so the obsessed can pleasure themselves without dragging every thread down on this forum? Graze.

He didn't quite understand what was meant by shooting up.

    Sorry! I'll get my coat.

But in all seriousness this is actually interesting, Contador trains in a more specific, sport's science oriented manner and gets better results. Hurrah for science! :D

As for Froome being a not quite stellar descender because occasionally he looks shaky. Well I've seen His Royal Highness King Nibbles of Descendia look shaky at times. It's one of those things that gets blown out of all reality either way, negatively in Froome's case and positively in Nibs' case.

Lol @ the Contador haters. Maybe because he came from a poor background you like to have a go at him whereas your froomie was a private school chap.

If you see the differences between this winter and last it is not easy to see why he is performing better. Its not some revolutionary sky honed training technique. You cant teach the way Contador races and it is opposite of what sky does.

You should have heard the French commentators singing his praises.

Ps. Froome descends fine now even if he didnt (by his own admission) in the past. He doesn't take risks on the descents because he doesnt need to and Sky's approach is conservative and relates purely to gaining time on the mtfs and tts which is fine and effective but not a type of racing fans are looking for.

What are you on? Seriously, you're coming off like a complete loony with your class based analysis of forum posters... It's fairly offensive as well.

And nobody has said Contador is learning anything at all about RACING from and ex Sky DS. Please learn to read for meaning.

If he isn't learning anything from SDJ, why would Saxo pay his salary?

Strange and absurd eh. Its got your attention. The lead article is very worthy of a new thread.

The only argument is that he hasnt been suddenly transformed due to learning revolutionary sky techniques from SDJ. He already knows how to put his race cape on while eating a banana. I could post an awesome photo of Contador in the pouring rain here.

Yes, yes of course, social class is why many cycling fans dislike Contador....

I think if you have a thing against sportsmen from humble origins, cycling may not be the sport for you...

Also, I'm pretty confident that if FF had a family in Kenya, he wouldn't entrust their education to the Kenyan state system.

It's not just Contador. I hate all poor people, and people who aren't currently poor, but come from a poor background. I drive round in my RR trying to run them over. Occasionally I have my butler flog them.

Then give him a sound thrashing to remind him of his place?

this seems to me to back up my belief of what the main difference has been between sky and the rest. sky train to improve their riding while others just ride their bikes.

it's like trying to win a short race by training for a sportive

Oh dear me, no. A gentleman would never flog his butler. Any butler that was so deficient as to not already have a thorough understanding of his place would be despatched immediately. A short letter of condolence would be sent to his mother, along with the bill for the shot.
