I doubt he has, but at least it's only equally ridiculous as AC's comment eh?0 -
I think there is a combination of factors at work here. Tinkoff obviously flayed Bertie last year and told him to up his game. So he gets a new coach and changes things up a bit.
Also, he hasn't had his butt kicked by Froome this year as they have not raced. At this time last year he had already lost the first mental battle.0 -
Tirreno Adriatico St6 2013 for Froome's descending, 48.09 into the main youtube coverage Maggy even mentions it as a potential weakness. Now that's settled got to take some stuff to the tip![Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

Contador is definitely heavier than he was last year.
2013 T-A:
2014 TA
At the tdf in particular he looked very slight.0 -

Disagree ,,,IMO I think you are underestimating the knowledge and talent of a proven GC champion.
Contador find's his own way of winning. With input yes. But it has to work for Contador.
We all know Sky's tactics. You can see what they do.
You can't make Contador ride like Froome.
Bit harsh IMO calling Contador a liar with no evidence.0 -
If we are still talking the Tour, form now has little bearing on how the same rider will be going come July. Its still March.
Also, suggesting that a mature athlete cant change there training regime and improve, by training better or smarter, shows a total lack of knowledge re endurance sport.0 -

Al Fotheringham for one. Based in Spain and knows Bertie well. I saw Bertie up close at the team launch in Gran Canaria and then at the start of Tirrreno. He looks a tad "stronger" to me.-- Dirk Hofman Motorhomes --0 -
So someone who had to leave Sky because he couldn't sign the no doping clause in his contract, has started working for another team? I'm sure he will be happy, second place is good now isn't it?
If last year was an average year for Contador, he is poor. He only had one stage win all season.0 -

Even though the evidence is overwhelming that he was blood doping. The only reason CAS ruled it wasn't proven he was doing blood transfusions is because they didn't understand when you would expect to find plasticisers in someone's blood and when you wouldn't. There were experts sat in the court room who could have cleared that up in minutes, but they weren't allowed to give evidence after hours of negotiating by contador's lawyers. He got off on a technicality and is guilty as sin.0 -

But just because the words didn't come out his mouth doesn't mean he didn't do it, remember he is a convicted doper who served a doping ban.0 -

I'm afraid i have to put this down to some of you being a little too Sky Obsessed...
Yes I don't think anyone has said that the other favourites can ride away from Froome on any descent at any time - just that there have been hints that he isn't quite as good, or at least that he's more risk averse, than the likes of Nibali and Contador on the most dangerous descents.
If that isn't the case what was happening on that Tirreno Adriatico clip and what was big Maggy talking about ?[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

Do you understand what you are talking about ?
Do you know what Plasticisers are used for?
Do you know if there is a legalised test by a sporting body for plasticisers being found in an athletes sample?
It's all very interesting stuff if your that way inclined.0 -
Rayjay, I can only presume you don't know what you're talking about if you're asking those questions. Do you even know why Contador wasn't busted for blood doping?0

"He hasn't told me anything and I'm not interested in knowing anything [about Team Sky.]"
Hours later, that's still keeping me amused.
Bert needs to branch into satire. Add another string to his bow.0 -
if bertienis not interested in sky's training methods, he's either lying or stupid. I suspect both.--

You presume wrong Sir.
I am asking if the poster knows, has any knowledge of Plasticisers?
I do.
I am not talking about Contador being found guilty for tiny traces of Clenbuterol.
it is relevant to his case and ask's if there can be a test for plasticisers in sport which there is not.
Go google DEHP for an education... I didn't have to.0 -
Look, will you lot please stop quoting rayjay.
There is not much point me having him as the only person on my ignore list, to avoid his constant drivel, if you keep feeding him and putting him in your posts. (Emoticon added for ray)Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
