Farah lives in US? What a loser.
Good lord! Is there anything somebody can do that, in your eyes, doesn't make them a loser? It's not a very nice word to throw about."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

So come on then, share your uninformed opinion of why this is the case?
Or maybe just keep your mouth shut and stick to photos if you are do not understand the reasons for doing so :roll:0 -

Yes, that's the way to do it. And then watch the same idiot bring down nearly every thread in this forum with his insinuating and uninformed postings. This forum does not need this drivel with the TdF about to start0 -

Wiggo rode bloody well though and to be honest it is a good thing for the Hour record that Wiggo did not have good conditions - or he'd have put it out of sight. As it is now, it is something the likes of Dowsett will feel is reachable. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
the actual bike is on display at The Bike Rooms in Mcr (no photos). Surprising how industrial the bars are but a stunning bit of kit. Indurains Espada on display upstairsM.Rushton0

a lot of talk about how Wiggin's record isn't out of reach...
I recall on this thread people saying Bobridge had gone out crazy fast
That scale starts from 49kph, not 0kph, so the gap is made to look bigger than it actually is.0 -
I’m more interested in the tyres and pressures, if anyone knows.
Don't know about pressures but the tyres are Vittoria Pista Gold prototypes.
The disc wheels are UKSI wheels.

so all of the other riders are even closer than they appear on the graph. gotcha0 -

No doubt the next Hour contender will give themselves an attempt window rather than stick to a specific date like Wiggins did.
His team might like to us believe he did that for the thousands of adoring ticket paying fans: but we all know it's 'cos he had his Easy Jet flight to Majorca booked.0 -

Perhaps not a month, but surely, say, a weekend or a three day period would give a degree of flexibility which might make the costs worthwhile?
For example, I saw an interview with, iirc, Brailsford in the run up to the Wiggins attempt where he said that unlike everyone else in the country they were praying for the weather to break rather than to remain sunny.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Yes, but that's also the case for all the other riders. Still far more consistent.
The lap times graph is here, quite frightening consistency.

As many of you might know, I am going for the Paracycling Hour Record - next Saturday in Manchester.
(A quick blog post about it: http://637daystogo.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/60-minutes-to-make-history.html)
Training has gone well and I hope to put in a good performance. The record is 41km and I hope to beat that by 1-2km. It may not seem very far in comparison to the likes of Wiggins - but that's faster than I've ever ridden a 25 mile TT - even on a fast dual carriageway course! Plus I have one leg...
I'm doing it in conjunction with the World Master's Track Champs in Manchester. Anyone local is welcome to come down and watch. It should start around 2pm GMT on Oct 10. Come earlier and watch some Master's racing (and there is more racing after me). They will charge you £10 at the door - sorry I can't help that!
If you are interested in watching online, there is a live feed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HGpelVJSbo
It will have running commentary by Jody Cundy (Paracycling Kilo World Champion x a lot) and Darren Kenny (who holds the Hour Record for a different category - both on an aero bike and standard track frame!
If you come down - cheer loudly but make sure to keep quiet when I pass my coach each lap. I need to hear my splits
Thanks all!

Very Best of Luck Colin!0
