    Ah, nice. Thanks.

It looks to me like he thumbs up, adjusts glasses and then thumbs up again? Very suave.

It's a classy humblebrag. No need to lose your shed when you've been there many times previously.

Edit. Having said that, I'd lose my shed if he 'copied' a Sagan cwlwbration.

For reasons best known to himself he's keeping the beard for the Spring Classics.

Can't be fun in the gazillion degree heat.

    ^Not aesthetically pleasing. At all.
  • Don't think that jersey helps his look either to be honest.

Remember the lengthy Cav thread where the conclusion was that his white jersey made him look less lean.

He looks like he should be wearing an Altura hi vis

Obvs talking rider, not the race

(and some of the shots of the peloton rolling through the Barossa Valley are rather more aesthetically pleasing than Qatar or Oman, for example)

I got that, but does it really matter??? It's a bike race, a comment above mentioned a 'long' thread about Cav's white jersey, jeez move on... is appearance such a big deal

  • yes
  • (and some of the shots of the peloton rolling through the Barossa Valley are rather more aesthetically pleasing than Qatar or Oman, for example)

To be fair to Oman, some parts in the mountains are very beautiful, but as to Qatar, a race around the industrial estates of Portsmouth would be more aesthetically pleasing.

Anyway, classy riding by old Cadel.

+1 (on classy ride for cuddles.. didn't catch what he was wearing or whether he had had a shave)

for the Tour of Oman, OK, I'll give you Green Mountain...

But there are no camels in Portsmouth!

Evans puts time into Porte on a climb ? I can't believe the usual suspects aren't all over that like a rash.

Porte let him go so as not to raise suspicion. Either that or he was glowing so deliberately didn't place.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
  • Course. You can't let the genetic modifications to your body shine through in January. :)
  • Enjoyed the last 10kms or so of Sky's deplorable coverage;
they should be paying us to watch.

Evans rides away from Porte on the climb?
I see that as Cadel having too good form for January and
    Porte riding to BC's schedule.

Tremendous roadside account of Evans on Corkscrew:

"It had been announced a breakaway group hit the climb with a small gap and everyone went crazy when the 3 big Aussie favourites of Cadel Evans, Richie Porte and Simon Gerrans are heard to be in the breakaway. Just a few minutes later the riders are on the lower part of the climb and Cadel Evans attacked and the mountain erupted!"

Great attack by Evans and good to see him on the top step again. Hopefully he can get his best form back and be at the sharp end come the big races.
