Can't wait to get home for the highlights later.
Missed the racing so badly during the brief off season.0 -

Just watched Sky's 2 hours of ad breaks infested, Sky chat.
Thank goodness they even managed to squeeze in a few kms of actual racing.
Kept away from the result, so watched it "as live", this afternoon.
First day of the season and there's a Belkin rider lying in the ditch, just before the kite, as usual!
Great to have racing back.
Kudos to Greipel for making the climb, but the finish was up a drag as well, so no surprise
that Gerrans won the neck a neck, sprint."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Another fun fact about Frenchie is he's one of the only people I've ever met who pronounces gif properly!Twitter: @RichN950 -

Fun Frenchie facts? He's going to end up like the Stig "Some say, he is banned from the town of Chichester"...0

First few races back after the of season I always find myself surprised by how muscular / lean pro riders are.
Within half an hour I've already adjusted again.
Separately I never actually end up watching these races. Wrong time zone and it all feels a bit weird.0 -
I'm intrigued where sjmclean is.
Did you get up in the middle of the night, or are you Aus-based?
Love this race, SSN in a morning with 3 mins of highlights to start my day. Get home and it's recorded and ready to watch. Lovely, jubbly.0 -
Just watched the two hours from last nigh I had recorded. Great win for Gerrans, Greipel was obviously tired from the hill but he had a decent lead out so great effort from Gerrans.0

Nothing that exciting,
10k to go: Saxo on the front drilling it, Greipel punctured but is back on now, he seems to be climbing well. If he gets the win or second and Gerrans finishes lower than 2nd he will be leader.
Seems all the big teams fancy a win today.0 -
McEwan's commentary is a bit better than the two from last night. Saxo really want this, OGE just appeared with Gerrans.0
-
5km to go, Garmin take over.
Sorreson (saxo) out the back, think it was a mechanical. Saxo riders dropped straight off the front.0 -
a movistar and katusha rider crash, Movistar rider very angry.
Stannard has a attacked.
Porte goes0 -
Ulisia (lampre) wins, looked very strong,
Gerrans second, looked to have to slam on the breaks when Impy couldn't stick on.0
