Ulisia (lampre) wins, looked very strong,
Gerrans second, looked to have to slam on the breaks when Impy couldn't stick on.0 -

What does this mean? :oops:0 -

So pleased a really classy rider like Ulissi beat Gerrans and this boy Gerrans is on near to 100% form whereas Ulissi is just coasting.
interesting top ten given it was a bunch of close to a 100 rolling in.
Noticed that Graeme Brown still has a gig with Belkin...this most be the most useless spot to give a rider...he must be laughing...he should have gone long ago...free up this space for someone with talent.
He got whacked yesterday as did Goss, Fenn and Dekker.
Both Van Poppel's are racing...one is in the mix and one is over 10 mins back.Contador is the Greatest0 -

why? what did frenchie do?
We don't normally like to talk about it, but it's in relation to blatant wheelsucking just prior to this:

He either played it perfectly, or is a wheelsucking deviant, depending on your point of view0 -

Basically, FF likes riders with a bit of panache. That make glorious attacks (especially if they have the ability to pull them off). He also likes riders with a good aesthetic. Gerrans tends to sit in 4th or 5th wheel and leap out at the end pipping everyone else who has done work to victory. He IS very good at this, but sometimes it is HOW you win, not just winning...http://www.georgesfoundation.org

JJ Rojas out with a broken scaphoid
And Rafael Valls with a broken humerus
Add that to Tommy in training, Sutton and Visconti in the crit, plus Tanner yday..the broken bones are piling up0 -

that Gerrans won the neck a neck, sprint.
Surely Gerrans winning anything involving going neck and neck is a surprise?0 -
Gerrans wins with more panache than say, Cavendish who wins by team grind (which we know is not a favourite tactic of FF) or also popping out to benefit from someone else's good work ...
Gerrans knows where to be to get in the break, has the legs to get into (and stay in) the break and more importantly, has the head to let others show their cards first ...
If he was a Brit this board would be doing unspeakable things to themselves about him ...0 -
Not sure about that, there seem to be a few people who dislike all the Brits on here... Brits have always got to give the Aussies some stick anyway to make up for the stick they give us in EVERY sport (Well every sport they can beat us at anyway, they don't seem to give a monkeys about Football!)0
-
Just wait until things start in earnest and Cav and/or Wiggins win something ... There will be pages upon pages of self congratulatory posts (quite why given none of those posting are actually Cav or Wiggins, but that's folks for you) ...0

Come on the Brits!!!0

3 men up the road. Just over 2 mins gap. Voigt, Meyer (Drapac) and Grevico: he is virtual leader so teams keen for the catch.
Greipel on the front, Hansen has said he wants a high over all finish, I imagine it will be lotto wanting a good car position for Europe (is that still a thing?).0 -
Cadel dropped porte, wwho was caught by gerrans, gap at top of climb was about 15 secs0
-
Cadel wins the stage and is new leader.
He deserved it, looked great.
Commentators lost it tonight/0 -
Has Evans ever worn the leader's jersey before ? I can't recall but my memory isn't quite as good as it used to be0
-
YES! Evans is the man and showing the Aussies who is boss. Attack and solo to the line, nice work.
Schleck 1min down.
