    Jeezo

My Wilier is 2nd hand and bought on fleabay. I bought it in June 2011. It's CF but if he wants to race on a budget, then the CAAD is probably a good bet, that's why I didn't put my oar in.

Of course the CAAD is a good bet. It's the best bet, the only bet.

Saying that a CAAD is a "good bet" is like saying that TDNFNATN is "slightly smashworthy".

I love TDNFNATN. We're getting married.

Just got back in from the theatre, don't you know. It was spiffing.

Well, Edwyn's Playhouse. But still spiffing nonetheless.

You and a car like that didn't seem a natural fit :)

Always wanted one; a Porsche that is. 911's, Carrera's, turbo's (of any description) are either way over priced and in reality, if you want a bit of fun and you want to put the pedal down, you really need to do it on a track, 'cos that back end is going to bite you if you don't know what you are doing.
I have a friend who is an accomplished rally driver and he had a Porsche 911 Turbo. He crashed it 3 times and then never took it out in the wet.
So, despite being the 'poor man's Porsche', the 924, 944, 968 are so beautifully balanced. I have owned and driven far quicker cars but nothing puts a smile on your face quite like this thing.
As MRS said; 'you don't need power to have fun'. You'll know that from driving 205's. Best fun in a front wheel drive car you can have for me. Well, maybe a Renault GT turbo but f*ck me they are high maintenance.

It will never be in concourse condition but all I want is for everything to work as it should and enjoy the thing.

Brilliant little cars. I worked at Radbourne Racing when they were current. Sold tuned ones as well. Once got pulled over for tripling the speed limit and managed to talk my way out if it. Turbo2s were a handful to say the least. Huge lag and once over about 230bhp would lift the front wheels whilst spitting flames out the exhaust. Would munch a clutch in no time at all.

Hot hatches are the answer to cheap fun and avoiding the Men-o-Porsche label  205GTI's and R5 GTT's are a bit ancient history now so maybe something a bit newer like the Megane RS?

I constantly regret the day I sold my mk1 Golf GTI 1.8. Utterly brilliant. Should have kept that.

Bought a Civic 1.6 VTEC though - the ones before they became fat. 185 bhp, 7500 rpm redline, big enough to fit a dismantled kitchen in the inside. Brilliant car. Would sit at 130 down the motorway all day. TDV sold that without me knowing to buy a Volvo estate.

She also sold our house without me knowing but that’s a different story.

Mate - the random schizzle she gets up to, it wouldn't surprise me. She went to Edwyns a while ago for some eggs and came home with the AMG.

At least she gave you the address of the new house.
