It's 6,740 miles from London to Singapore. I couldn't face that walk after a few jars so regret will have to duck out!

Given that it looks like there might be few of us, is it worth seeing if we could reserve an area of the pub?

  • I would but most of the posters on here are full of themselves with massive egos.

Its all a bit too "village people" for my liking.

Having organised the first one and met most of the people, I can assure you they aren't full of themselves. Just all nice people who like get get lagered up and loudly disagree about cycling.

But I suspect there are a bunch of people who've created a straw man about people on the forum and won't meet them as it might prove them wrong.

Or aren't old enough to hit the pub (which is no problem)

Was in advanced negotiations with wardrobe over my Straw Man outfit till Ian spilled the beans. Reverting to the comfort of something smug and self-righteous instead.

Without giving too much away, I would struggle to match the forum identities with the people who come to this do each year. It's a bit like watching the film of the book...

"So Frenchie, where exactly in Spain did you say were you born?"
