I'm still aiming for 6.30pm0

Just grabbed the last table outside. The only red one. Now I just need someone to go to the bar!0
-
And then there were 3... I probably won't be able to make it. But I am sure you can put the world to rights without me.
Even the acoustics are good here. You're missing out. Any subject matters you'd like us to discuss or is it just a general world righting that is required?0 -
Have got caught up with car problems so won't be able to make it. Trust you haven't been waiting around for a forum irregular like me!0

Great time with Big Bean and Dish Dash, three and a half hours to set the cycling world to rights and catch up on all the forum and twitter banter. Good times good venue good food.Contador is the Greatest0

Cracking evening! Thanks BB and FF.0

Cracking evening! Thanks BB and FF.
I clearly couldn't have gone - I don't have an alliterative double barrelled user name.0 -
Very enjoyable evening was had.
It's a shame that ridgerider wasn't able to make it as he does specialise in writing up the post meet-up minutes. I'm fairly sure that final motion to be tabled was that frenchfighter was going to beat dish_dash in a bike race. Time will tell.0 -

My money is on dish.
As is mine. The Rick Chasey vs frenchfighter battle is less clear.0 -

It's very clear.
At our level it's simply a function of mileage.
Dish's highest
Frenchie I'm assuming is lowest since he can't ride in anything but perfect conditions.0 -
Ooh sounds like we need to put that one to rest.
I don't ride much but when I do, it is all up and down hills.Contador is the Greatest0 -

For sure, but let me put it this way.
Dish's mileage: 3,300km in 2015 - most of it around St Albans which isn't flat.
Rick's mileage: 2,300km, in 2015 - the majority of which is 10 km blasts in and out of the City, the rest being a couple club runs a month - but then I also weigh 55kg.
Frenchie's milege: ....? Unknown - enlighten us!0 -
Ha ha... can we add this to PTP?
Just to put a bit more context:
Dish's Mileage in 2015: 3,300km with 45,743m of climbing
Rick's Mileage in 2015: 2,300km with 12,629m of climbing
FF ??
I however weigh almost 20kilos more than Rick... so FF get training and we'll try to pick the ideal day...0 -
My mileage is unknown but I would say it is under 1000km. I am definitely slower than 3+ years ago but I'm no slouch. I'd assume Dish would beat me given his serious training for the Etape and you may do but sounds like you got roasted after 25km when you rode with him ; )
^that's some serious climbing!Contador is the Greatest0 -

TheBigBean for 2015:
Approximately 100km with 0m of climbing (that's a fundamental problem with rollers). 100+ kg.
Now you're scared.0 -

Hey Dish, I wasn't that bad... What have you been saying??!0 -

Hey Dish, I wasn't that bad... What have you been saying??!
FF has a tendency to exaggerate... I just said I got to the top of the first hill, looked back and you weren't there... it was some random that had been huffing and puffing on my wheel.
You rode a solid ride even though it wasn't the Pip Gilbert effort I was expecting!0 -

Apologies for my absence. I would have loved to show you my tan lines from my weekend cycling in and around Morzine. I then had to go up to Stratford upon Avon on my first day back (by train), and basically I spent yesterday counting down the hours before I could snuggle up in my bed.Half man, Half bike0 -

Hmmm...I think FF needs to declare his Whereabouts for the past few months. Mexico, Italy, Mount Teide?Half man, Half bike0 -

I'm up for an afternoon coffee in Peleton & Co to watch a bit of TdF mountain climbing if anyone wants to join me sometime in the next few weeks?Half man, Half bike0 -
Totally dropped off my agenda. Only just remembered when I saw the topic just now.
Sorry chaps.
Coffee in Peleton during The Tour sounds like a plan. If I remember. :-SLittle boy to Obama: "My Dad says that you read all our emails"

Any interest in making it a north of London outing...? Sounds like a good BR w!lly waving opportunity.0 -
Oooh, nic_77 with 3740 km and 44k of climbing ytd.
Based on the prevailing logic, nic_77 would be the favourite.
He also is sub three hours for a marathon and has done an Ironman.
I'll be up for a ride but will be taking a trip to Eastern Europe to fit a motor first.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Sounds like a reasonable assumption.0 -
Don't miss out Nic's Bike engine: 65 ml/kg/min VO2 max (Dec 2011)
Could be fun! I'm up for it... post Etape.0 -
