Give the n/w ring a chance I'd say. I spent a couple of weeks with the backing plate for my guide still mounted, and the guides themselves stuffed in the bottom of my Camelbak, convinced it'd never work. That was months, and a couple of enduros, ago and I'm still to drop the chain.

Obligatory, rubbish, updated shot of my Sovereign:

Just put the Spring tyres on. Brakes are now Hope Race Evo X2s, but I don't think much else is different since it was last posted, apart from the tyres (loving the Conti Baron up front). The GD had it's first cleanlast week: new grease in and it works like new after almost two years of abuse. The Arch EX rims probably won't last the year, so something a bit beefier might be in order; either Flow EXs or maybe Mavic 821s. Currently um-ing and ah-ing over whether to try a Works headset on it, but not really conviced by the 1-degree difference, alternately terrified it might make the bike feel rubbish.

The black rev's have certainly made me think I should've gone for them over my 32 Rl's on the Cotic, probably little to choose little between them in performance, but the black stanchions look awesome.

On another note, the new 650b Cotic Soul looks sweet!

Nice. Ah does that say 'ride tour way" down the top tube? I got it on my headtube and thought that was bad enough. Nice though, what is it a 18"?

I would only ride something like this if I had massive skills, because you know, everyone will be looking at you anyway.
