    Looks very nice with that Pike!

    I see people loving their on one EVO2 456 and it makes me wonder how we got all these improperly aligned frames shipped to the US?

    After receiving three frames that were jigged improperly giving a bad track to the frame(rear triangle drops didn't match with exactly the same measurements across three frames received; very poor Q.A.), I asked for my money back and bought a slightly more expensive Commencal Cro-mo frame. Just need to get it wheels and a cockpit.

    It took over four months to find that I couldn't build a bike from that company, because of their contract welders lack of quality assurance. Knowing that their welder screwed them over, I don't hold it against the nice people who work for On-One. They had to deal with the problem just as I had to.

    I finally got myself an On One 456 and took this photo of it the evening after it arrived having thrown my components on it. I'll do a proper post when I can take some pics in the daylight!

    Had a go on a Bird Zero the other day and realised I hadn't ridden a hardtail in over a year! So I dragged the BFe frame out of the shed...

    My Onza Jackpot. Only got it last week so still getting it sorted but nearly there. Spec is Chromoly steel frame, 140mm Revelations, Sram x1 1x11 gearing, Hope tech XC hubs and hoops, Specialised butcher front and slaughter rear, XT brakes, KS dropper post, Raceface aeffect bars and stem.

    Early days but I am loving the plushness of the frame, feels great and really responsive.

    Sweet, do it. We've sold a few in the shop I work in - my neighbour had one off us and he loves it, super fast and stable!

  • Great. Been round the red route many times on inferior bikes, looking forward to it
    Just got in from work and tempted to go up there now.
    Stunning looking bike.
  • My Stanton I built. Took me 7 months of selling a bike and saving for parts. I still need to get a rear brake.

    Oh wow, didn't know Norco had jumped on the hardcore hardtail wagon. That looks lovely!
    Shame it comes specced with those brakes though... (sorry)

    I've found the SRAM Level brakes to be fine. Plenty of stopping power for me :wink: To be honest I've never ridden a bike with, what might be considered, a really high end break. It would be interesting to see how they feel compared to the more budget options I've always used. But as long as they slow you down okay & have decent modulation I'm happy :wink:

    This is the spec for the 2017 Torrent 7.1 (not sure the exact part names for a lot of the kit here though);

    Bars: Norco 780mm (aprox)
    Stem: Norco 60mm (aprox)
    Grips: Norco Lock-on
    Saddle: Norco
    Seat post: Tranz X dropper
    Forks: DVO Diamond
    Rims: Spank 395+
    Tyres: Maxxis Minion DHF 27.5 x 2.80
    Rear mech SRAM NX 1x11
    Cranks: Race Face
    Front ring: Race Face 28T
    Brakes: SRAM Level T

    Norco only re-launched the Torrent this year I believe. Here's an original Torrent from 2003;

    My Shan has undergone a few changes -
    pedals: Shimano M530 to DX,
    seat: Crappy Kore thing to SDG Bel air 2 to SDG bel air
    shifter: Deore to SLX

    tyres: been chopping and changing, keep slashing them and put a flat spot on my rear rim so can't keep the tubeless game going. Got a Vittoria Morsa on the front. Would not recommend - unpredictable and not particularly grippy. Kept it on because it's the only tyre I have left that will seal...
    Conti Mountain King on the rear - good but draggy and crap sidewall protection.
