I grew up around this sort of gear, my Dad sells 60's/70's/80's Campag. Lovely stuff. Not quite the same now it's all in carbon but Campagnolo still looks the best.frenchfighter wrote:0 -

I think it was about a 19:43, there were a couple of riders from Wyndymillar (Was MG maxifuel) there who got thrashed by him. I started three minutes ahead of him (On a tandem) and he came past us halfway through.
When he came past us it was quite something, a Tandem on the flat is a pretty quick thing but he came past us like we were on a BMX! Body was absolutely rock solid, only the legs moving, very low and sleek. It was quite a surprise when I turned around in the signing on que at the start and he was there!
Had a chat with him and his Mum and Dad, he's hoping to ride the tour this year. Nice guy, very down to earth.0 -

Thats really funny, I rode with Petacchi in Jan and he was one of the nicest of the whole squad to talk to. Chatted for a couple of hours. There are a lot more arrogant people in that team. Petacchi certainly didnt come across as one of them to me.Scott Addict 2011
