Don't think Porte and Uran were particularly strong before they joined Sky.

Well, at the age they were hired at, they already looked very strong. Porte had already led the Giro and Uran was emerging as a very strong GC rider.
    Not Quintana level though.

Great Tour so far, and to add to the enjoyment Contador gets his ass kicked off the podium. Result. All I need now to make it perfect is a win for Cav in Paris.
Great racing from the first four over the line today.

Three podium visits. Quintana gets to keep the podium girls. Nice.

Does second in the White Jersey Comp have to wear that jersey tomorrow? Seems wrong to force someone to wear a jersey that they can't keep. It kinda rubs it in that they came second.

Someone of Quintana's quality at that age has not been seen for a generation. The last was Ullrich or maybe even Andy Schleck, before that its the Lemond/Roche/Fignon vintage.

It was funny. Camera pans to 4 cows opposite podium wearing the "jerseys".

Senile old man says "there we have what the locals refer to as cheese machines" or word to that effect.

Big irony in Froome's interview not missed by Imlach "at least Froome didn't have Porte egging him on for more".

Talansky was third this morning so I don't think he'll mind. He was never really in contention.

Just seen a Halfords advert for a Carrera with 14 speed groupset? Do the pros have this yet? I'm stilll stuck on 10 & 11 speed groupsets.

I expect this is another hilarious attempt by FF of being facetious and trying to wind up others. It's genuinely quite pathetic!

There were cows wearing the jerseys? And I MISSED it! :x

I asked for their to be cows wearing the jerseys to rival last year's donkeys. That better be on the highlights!

They made Txurruka get on the podium in it in 07 when he came in the white jersey competition, although he was super-combatif

A mate just spotted the top three for the stage on a web page and thought it was the overall GC. Nearly had a heart attack :D:D:D

All the sprinters within the limit. Going to be a tense affair tomorrow evening.

FF you are a bitter individual, Froome is a worthy winner. Contador tried but was just not good enough. Like it or not you will have to accept it. I think this has been a super Tour. Perfect end if Cav wins tomorrow

It made me laugh when Quintana stood on the podium as was only just the same height as the podium girls, then I remembered I'm the same height as him....

    Congrats to Froome.

Contadors days are numbered I feel. Don't think he will ever win the Tour again.

As for the future - I'm not looking forward to what will probably at least a three year dominance by Froome, maybe with Quintana as his only challenger. It could get pretty boring from here on in.

So then - who's riding the Vuelta? Anyone good?

A Froome vs Nibali battle could be good, if Nibali has his Giro esque form.

Incredibly pleased I have a star to back full guns in the next few years. Pure romance from Quintana. Old school heavyweight.

So Froome wins two mountain stages and lacks class panache etc etc , NQ wins a brilliant 1st stage win and he is an old school heavyweight............:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I think he's just desperate to focus his attention on something other than his (now discarded?) idol Contador falling apart over the last couple of weeks.
