I got a good front light if Sky have the need for tomorrow in Paris. ;)

    Quintana deserved that.

Sky to sign him up? Is Porte good enough to contest the Giro next year?

You have to cross all your fingers and toes that doesn't happen. Dont think I will watch any stage racing if it does.

    Really hope this doesn't happen

Couldnt have asked for a better top 3 - awesome stage. And as much I dislike him what a great ride from valverde to set up the attack - and hats off to mollema for hanging in there. IMO the 100th edition lived up to the hype.

Going to have to check the last time a Tour margin from 1-10 was more than 18mins.

So so pleased to see Quintana 2nd and Purito 3rd. Despite all the *banned from this thread* chat in the media, cycling has really come out as the winner this tour!

That was a great final climb and a great final top 3.

He may not be as good if he's riding for a clean team (msps and all that. )

A brilliant and thoroughly deserved stage win for Quintana. A Colombian Climber winning a mountain stage and the Climber's Jersey - the good old days of Herrera, Parra and friends have returned! Absolutely brilliant! The craic will be mighty in Bogota tonight.:D

A great ride from J-Rod too. Deserving of his third on GC.

A very human performance today from Froome. The pressure had lifted in the last kilometre so maybe he just relaxed and let the GC win hit him. He had plenty of fight in him further down the hill, though. I think he win's the Hinault Award for strongest punch delivered on a drunken fan.

Cofidis even put a man in the top ten! This Tour has it all.

    DD.

Can I ask you politely to give it a rest? We know how you feel about Sky.

Let's just enjoy a fantastic ride from Nairo and some proper racing on the mountain from the podium winners today.

Liked the big smile on Valverde's face as he rode up to the line. Presumably he had been told that Quintana had won.

    EDIT
I think its a fair point (FF's). Sky does have a tendency to bring in strong riders as domestiques, when those riders could be team leaders in other teams. I also hope that they dont do this with Quintana. Actually it would be great to see Froome, Porte, Quintana and Uran all on separate teams

Don't think Porte and Uran were particularly strong before they joined Sky.

Likewise for racing's sake I agree with Frenchie. Hope he stays at Movistar and we see some immense battles between him, Froome and Nibali in the next few years.

Wiggins is really the only Grand Tour contender they've signed.

Well, at the age they were hired at, they already looked very strong. Porte had already led the Giro and Uran was emerging as a very strong GC rider.

    EDIT:

    Uran
    2008: 2nd Overall at Catalunya & 3rd in Lombardy
    2009: 5th Tour of Romandie & injured
2010: 7th Tour de Suisse, crashed out of Vuelta when 8th overall
    2011: Team Sky

    Porte:
2010: 4th Overall Tour of Britain
    4th Overall Eneco Tour
    4th World Time Trial Championships
    7th Overall Giro d'Italia

1,000,000% disagree ... He raced well on GC but never really looked like the most dominant on the slopes ... nor did he try to win or honour the jersey, just won it by mistake ...
