Do you mean the sound of the freehubs? Or all the gold pieces rattling in Thomas de Gendt's jersey pockets perhaps.
I don't know - do freehubs make a noise (jingling)?
They make a sweet whirring noise, no jingling.Scott Speedster S20 Roadie for Speed

It must be Thomas de Gendt's booty then (ho ho)0 -
Bottles...
Have you read about the rider in the olden days who used to transfer the bottles from the cages into his pockets to lighten the bike before he started a climb?Half man, Half bike0 -

Luckily it's going nowhere near the Midlands....
Never really thought or heard that - East Anglia, which isn't really the Midlands (in the common acceptance of that area) or the South as such. From there they will be quickly into Essex / Herts anyway I guess (not sure the exact route they're taking to London).0 -

Yes! And it makes no sense. That weight still has to be carried up by the rider no matter where it is.0 -

That's in The Rider isn't it? It's noted as a psychological trick Anquetil used to play on himself.
"If they banned him from putting his bottle in his pocket, Anquetil would never have won the Tour""In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
@gietvangent0 -
Some of these riders will have had the "relative" equivalent of 3 rest days by the time the stage starts on Thursday.
How much time will they to play with to avoid the cut off for the TT tomorrow (based on predicted winning time)? I reckon we'll get some highly respected track pursuit riders towards the tail end of tomorrow's results.0 -
Loads of idiots taking photos with their Ipads this year0

Adam Hansen kicking things off.
Voeckler and Hoogerland off the back of the break.Correlation is not causation.0 -

I used my iPad to video the finish of a road race I was judging, was fantastic to show clear video of riders numbers frame by frame to get the finishing positions quickly. Really good quality video too.0 -

This is his 7th GT on the bounce, is it not ? (or maybe 6 - I'm sure someone can confirm)
Anyone know the most consecutive completions ?
Don't know how he does it.. even managed to win a stage in the Giro :shock:0
