No Belkin had already done that to get Mollema and Ten Dam in a good position.
Saxo took it up to shed Froome.0 -
get in Cav!!!0
-
Love Cav slapping his beer guy as a celebration hahaha!0

Wow, 1:08-ish gap at the end!0
-
I'm pleased for him. I really really am.0
-
MOllema can do it all, climb, TT, sprint :-)0
-
FFS just come out of a meeting. Sounds like Bertie wants to make a race of this yet.0

And I thank you - without that win I would not have given him a chance in Paris.
BTW - I believe it is not as dire for Sky as that time suggests - I think they are looking to put more effort into the mountain stages.0 -
That was the most cerebral stage of the Tour on so many levels.0
-
Looked like a replay of the British RR finish for Cav0

Valverde was well cooked before Saxo took it up
I doubt it will be seen that way in the Movistar camp tonight0 -

This could be carnage over the next couple of days. Today was brutal!0

You don't lose time if you can help it."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

GRRRR Eurosport... let's cut away from the atmosphere of that epic stage and go and sit in a boring studio with James Richardson.0

Valverde fated to never win the Tour.
Contador is the Greatest0 -
Excellent sprint by Cav, but Sagan did not think that one out very well.
I guess we will see about Sky the next few days.0 -

Oldest wisest head in the team that makes calls as to which break to follow, where / when sprint train should take it up etc etc.
Not to be derogatory, but if that's Geraint Thomas do you not have a problem?“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Fabulous stage. Compelling tactical battle.
Dare I say it... an excellent spoiler thread too0 -

Whilst I agree with you - I think they are aiming to make time in the mountains - I only say this because I think they are saving Porte for those stages - just a hunch- guess we will find out over the next 4 days0 -

Do They? I get that Mikey bloke and a load of Euro interviews....
So....#SaxoPostal anyone? *hides*We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Great stage.
Chapeau to OPQS for destroying the peleton, and then Saxo for splitting away from Froome.
Easy in the end for Cav.0 -
Contador is the Greatest0 -
In that sprint I think we saw a Sagan looking a bit confused as to what to do - probably for the first time in his career. Looking all around and slowing up isn't the thing to do with Cavendish on your wheel!0

... but fated to steal a Vuelta ... so even ...
Only shame is that Movistar only have one card to play now which cuts down on the variables on Sunday ...0 -
Love it when Cav gets to properly race, instead of being just a protected sprinter. He's a better racer than people give him credit for. Great stage that.
Sky are stretched to breaking point - nothing tactical about their inability to hold on today.0 -
