This is by the far the most interesting thing I am going to read all day. Nothing in the dissertations I am currently marking is going to top this.
Great stuff.Correlation is not causation.0 -
Downside: I've been felled by man flu I feel cr@p and like I want to die, also no cycling for a day or two
Upside: I genuinely feel poorly so I've taken the day off work so I can try and raise my spirits by watching today's stage.
Who's turn is it from Europcar to do the 100km plus advertising stint off the front. One for TV Tommy?0 -
Shame they aren't going through the Gorges du Verdon, would have made some stunning shots, and allowed Carlton to talk about the village flooded under Lac du Sainte Croix. Ridiculously blue water there- stunning.
On the other side, I hope they stay in Aix not Marseilles tonight- much nicer place0 -

Oh I love Salcombe...
Sorry, sorry...
Ooooh....Salcombe Dairies Ice cream. The best, and no I dont live there. They do a Xmas pudding ice cream, its magical. Apologies I am rambling, I need my Tour fix today.0 -

Cropped to be tastefully less polka dots than the incumbent has been demonstrating so far (save as for the helmet).0 -

But where were the protests that twitter demanded? I was expecting a load of American fans to throw themselves under the Tour caravan at least."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

People seem to take less notice of the US' views on the TdF now for some reason...0 -
Nothing short of heroic, the 'boy' RideOnTime: gamely hanging on, averting multiple thread calamity, pleading for thread serenity. All this in the face of more avi churn than FF's (IRL) opinion on FroomieDog. Metering posts every two minutes? Rapture....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

Some weird scales getting used on some of these profiles, some make it look like a lumpy sprinters stage, others make it look like a medium mountain stage."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

What do you think the bus crash was about? The angry Ted King fans got confused and went too early throwing themselves under a local bus full of French commuters.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Just a shame about the yachty set (i.e. the ones who wear all the gear and sleep on their boat rather than those that actually get out there and do some sailing) and the amount of traffic along Fore Street (mainly the BMW X5s, Porsche Cayennes and Range Rovers of said yachty set) but yes, it is a beautiful spot.0 -

With these constant daily long breaks from the team I'm expecting Europcar the sponsor to announce that they are entering the bicycle taxi/rickshaw market.0 -

When it came to journos using their twatter feeds last night to say that the peloton should refuse to ride today unless Tedward was reinstated...that's when I lost the plot a tad0 -

Without coming over all Carlton Kirby I'd guess Europcar are a bit happier with this situation than Cofidis are with their lot...My cycle racing blog: http://cyclingapprentice.wordpress.com/
