Interesting move for Chavanel. No one`s 2nd at IAM. Perfect for a natural racer with attacking flair. Should be treated with some good performances from him next year.

Early on in the season they punched well above their weight (IAM). With Chava there I'm sure they wil be well represented.

They must be crying out for someone with potential with both Scarponi and Cunego on the slide. Rui's about 3rd in line at Movistar so probably a good thing. He's only signed for 1 year tho'

That 1 year bit smacks of someone who isn't convinced he's doing the right thing.

Interesting. I wonder if his and Peiper's influence will be enough to get BMC punching somewhere close to their weight?

Maybe. Problem with BMC is that a good number of the riders get paid huge whack, are on long contracts (3 years) and are in too much of a comfort zone. Take Gilbert - face like a smacked kipper during the Tour cos he wasnt getting his own chances - yet still signs up for a new 3 year contract. €€€€€€€€€

And whatever the results Andy Rihs will keep on signing the cheques

Nice work if you can get it

Sky wanted him on a 3yr contract but his didgeeree-dooo wouldn't fit in the team bus.

BMC have signed Gareth Bale. Andy Rihs has pointed out that has won as many races this year as Gilbert and Evans put together and is probably cheaper.

Inner Ring has linked some of the erstwhile Carrots with OPQS, to support Uran. Nieve, Anton and Landa. Or possibly Astana.

  • Janier Acevedo and Wout Poels to OPQS. Confirmed.

  • It'll be interesting to see what sort of teams OPQS put out for the GTs next year.
  • The UCI must have introduced a new, "sponsor a Colombian cyclist" rule for WT teams.

    Darwin Atapuma to BMC.

No swifty or Stannard? Wonder where they could be going next year, OPQS for Yogi?
  • ^If a rider's current contract is up and there's no news re re-signing etc, Procyclingstats leaves them off the 2014 line-up till more is known

Stan, Swift, Sutton, Rowe, Knees (I think), Zandio and Kennaugh's current contracts are up - I'm pretty certain Zandio's re-signed recently.

Cyclingfever has a rumour that Stannard is off somewhere else. Either OPQS or BMC - it's slipped my mind and I only just saw it!

Would like to see Stannard move to a team that care about the Classics, same with G. Not convinced they'll reach their potential at Sky, especially Stannard.

What makes you think they don't care? It's not their priority, sure, but there are few teams for whom it is. Sky seem to be one of the more interested.
