Could it be that the MPCC are the reason that LLS is having trouble finding a contract for 2014?

Is this the same group that Vaughters is heavily involved in?
Interesting if true, due to the length of bans that were orchestrated for certain riders and how they fit into MPCC rulings ... yet a riders career is being destroyed with no-one willing to back anything up with an actual case or hearing?
Also interesting to note the number of riders who returned to WT level without a blink of an eye ...
Is this also what is causing delays with Trek's WT license (Frank Schleck)?0 -

It would be interesting to get a legal opinion on this.
It's one thing for a team to decide not to employ a rider - but I would presume a different kettle of fish for an organisation to instruct it's members not to employ a rider.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

Costing a rider their place in the peleton ... haven't we been down this star spangled path before?0 -
Mikkel Condé v2.0 @mrconde 8m
Caja Rural DS, Juanma Hernández, tells MARCA that the team has been offered both Horner and LLS. However, they both want too much money...
Mikkel Condé v2.0 @mrconde 7m
Hernandez: "If they asked for 70 or 80 % of the price we could talk" - Hey LLS, didn't Belkin buy you out? I mean, you COULD ride for less..“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Horner riding for Caja. What a laugh that would be. LLS should accept pretty much any price imo.Contador is the Greatest0

Who is Nys riding for next year?
The team is not continuing next year.

The team aren't continuing but I believe the sponsors are going to continue to support Nys for this and next season. He's changing bike sponsors on 1st January too, moving to Trek.0

Interesting quick read:
http://inrng.com/2013/11/petacchi-looph ... -transfer/
At the start of the year the rulebook said a rider could not switch teams but there was a loophole: if they were out of contract then they could sign for a new team. It certainly looked like Petacchi “retired” so he could assume an out of contract status the briefest of periods thus allowing him to switch to OPQS. We’ll never know for sure if this was the plan or just happy coincidence, a rider retiring and another team wanting to hire him.Contador is the Greatest0 -

That's great news. Barnes gets her big break - and gets to ride for a US team like her beau, young Tao Geoghegan Hart0 -

I read that too, but seems to be incorrect (unless the exchange rate has really crashed while I haven't been looking). £1.5 mil seems to be the current figure, up from £1 mil on signing in 2010.0 -

It was 1.5m until he won the Tour, then it was renegotiated...um... considerably0 -

Interesting, I understood he was originally on £4 mil for 4 years 2010-2013 but assumed the renegotiation to £1.5 mil covered his extension to 2014 from post tour. Half a mil sounds fairly considerable to me but then I'm not a pro-cyclist far less a Tour winner.0 -

“I want to keep racing, the contract I signed with Euskaltel through to 2015 demonstrates that. I will be a professional up to that point, unless they rescind my contract at the end of the year or my future has not been resolved in any other way. If that turns out to be case, I will no longer be a professional.”
-Sanchez
Is he getting paid? Or he just means in principle?
