Is it the Tour of Romandie on ES currently?

Nope, was a few weeks ago. Norway is on at the moment.

27c and sunny in Norway. EBH might get a nice tan to show the Giro boys when they all get together. Bonkers!

Might get to see some drunk Norwegian cycling fans, they're always good value. :D

Fair play to Visconti - been very active throughout this race.

Hope Betancur gets a win before the end.

Dont worry even if he doesnt, he will still celebrate like he won anyway...

More likely that when he does finally win he won't celebrate just in case! I hope he does get one though.

Sponsors probably love that....potentially more coverage than from a win....

At least Betancur can use his 2nd place for something today. 12 bonus seconds give him the White Jersey. 5 seconds in front of Majka. #giro

Now I understand why so many of you complain about the commentator on Eurosport. I would be annoyed too.... if I had paid for the stream

Had to switch after a few minutes and found a Rai stream which had no commentary, only the ambient noise :) Having said that, the normal Rai feed is fine, I don't speak Italian but the graphics appear to be in English and the foreign language blasting along makes me feel rather sophisticated (in an ignorant way).

Quigleys not too bad - he's brought Sean out of himself, treats it a bit like radio though - no real need to fill every second.

Surprised Santabrogio didnt do anything today - was expecting a bit of tussle between him and Uran.

I guess after the rubbish weather they just wanted to get to the rest day in ok form.

    Anyone know where Cav finished?

    He hasn't yet.

He came in about 28 minutes after Visconti with the 70-strong grupetto.

Now, assuming they are even half right, for the icing on the cake, next Friday and Saturday's Dolomiti weather forecast:

Pick any passo you fancy for Saturday, they are equally bad. :(

That stage was a Gin and bitter disappointment for me. It was set up nicely for a good punch up on the Galibier but the whole stage resembled a critical mass ride. All teams should be made to wear sandals and "Ban the Bomb" T shirts for the next stage.

It's a bit like the film "Happy Feet" but with bicycles. Bet Cav was well snugged up at that point

It's from the gallery on the Team Sky site. Some cracking photos on there.

FFS, there's some sort of weird weather imbalance going on with Norway being practically tropical and Central Europe still in the midst of winter. At this rate we'll be having snow at the Tour (and probably the Vuelta!).

Maybe not a bad idea for the Vuelta

LOL, Nibs attacks and throws his bottle out.

But damn, this does not help Visconti.

I loved that when he threw his bottle out, he looked like he meant business!

With a predicted high of –5 deg C at the top of the Stelvio on Friday, and because of wind that feeling like –10 deg C when standing still, I hope they are all equipped with at least winter cycling gloves if not even gloves like these.

The very thought crossed my mind.

Riders taking 30 odd secs here and there is pretty rubbish. May as well get rid of half the mountain.

Something like Pat McQuaid was driving solo in a car in front of the race.

W samochodzie przed peletonem jechał wczoraj sam Pat McQuaid, prezydent UCI, a my kręciliśmy 14 km/h pod górę.
