This second week has been as bad as the first week was good.

I'm sure there are a few riders waiting for the steep parts. Not ideal terrain and conditions for an attack now.

Betancur has the Young Jersey to aim for. Could be a nice ding ding with him and Majka. Santambrogio could make a move for the podium.

I wish the weather had been like this last summer when I did Marmotte. Had to sit in the stream at Plan Lachat to cool down.

Dull, stage, but not Visconti's fault, can't argue with that ride. Should watch more XCO...

LOL, Nibs attacks and throws his bottle out.

But damn, this does not help Visconti.

It doesn't look good with riders with white powder around their nostrils. :D

A pity that none of the GC guys attacked, a bit boring really.

Yeah - a bit boring from a GC perspective but a thoroughly deserved win for Visconti

Chuffed for Visconti but if this is clean racing crack open the EPO! A nice gentle start, thought it might help liven things up but that was just dull.

Fair play to Visconti - been very active throughout this race.

Hope Betancur gets a win before the end.

Evans and Uran too worried about blowing. Armchair ride for Nibali.

    Epic scenery, though.

Can't knock that win IMO - whatever the rest did or didn't do. A brave ride.

Visconti probably got loads of interviews, half frozen with a wet butt probably thinking that it's a while before being dry and warm. Tough job. :)

Dont worry, even if he doesnt he will still celebrate like he won anyway...

Cav will be another 20 minutes yet I suspect. 16% cut off I think and winner was around 4.45 so cut off around 35 minutes by my reckoning.

More likely that when he does finally win he won't celebrate just in case! I hope he does get one though.
