What have Garmin ever done?

Hesjedal suffering today or just throwing away GC time for some later stage hunting?

I think the 20 odd minutes he lost yesterday was enough but he could just be making doubly sure he's not seen as a GC threat

    Whats planned for Thurs, Fri?

Thur - looks like a sprinters stage & Fri is flatish for the first 150k then lumpy but not that high or steep
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

Jeez. I knew he'd had a bad day yesterday but didn't realise he'd lost *that* much time.

    Flip.

Walsh tweeting that he's suffering even in the fat lad group. Shame.

Looks like I picked the right stage not to watch then....

Probably gym in the morning, light lunch then a bike ride in the afternoon. Might have to go to Morrisons, and cut grass in back garden. Will be back watching on Saturday though! :D

I thought he only said ‘head cold’.

The girl on the right when Navardauskas was on the podium left most of her lipstick (which was a lot too!) on him.

Right. Who cut and paste the INRNG tweet about what Wiggo said? And who actually watched RAI?

Bad day for the leaders on GC (Giro Contest), finishing more than five minutes later than Neveraskedus. So it's not just Sir Bradley!

Did you watch the Sky interview with him last night? He has a cold all right. Uran referred to some physical problems that Wiggins has in his presser last night. And David Walsh referred to Wiggins head cold in tweet today. But maybe its a ruse and they're all in on it - and Wiggins is faking it.

I’ve been watching RAI. The daily discussion about the Giro at their outdoors studio at the stage finish is still on, just now talking about Wiggins blockade when descending in the wet, showing appropriate film from the other day.

Now they’re showing an earlier interview with Intxausti just after he finished.
Now a discussion about Samtambrogio's chances still.
Now a bit on the Sylvain Georges news.
    And now about tomorrow’s stage.

Earlier they had Daniel Oss and another rider for interview there, followed by Nibali and Tiralongo (see pic, Tiralongo hidden by Nibali). Amongst other stuff, Nibali was asked who was his main threat – Evans, Wiggins or Uran, and he avoided answering whom, rather saying one couldn’t ignore Scarponi either.

    8741813368_eecf416951.jpg

Whilst I've been typing the discussion has wandered on to the hill climb TT and what Wiggins or recognised climbers can do there but seems the studio guests think it's more likely the Columbians or Pozzovivo will concentrate on the Galibier.

And so on ..... and so on .....

    *

The couple of questions to Wiggins were just after he crossed the line, not in the studio. I think he only spoke of a head cold.

Sign of a decent team that can rescue their giro with a stage like that?

a bit of a closet Garmin fan tbh despite JV being a bit of a knob.

Diddums rode his bike in the rain ... everyone else still in the race rode through the same conditions ...

A bit more body fat and a shedload more talent might see him still in contention ...

Sorry 'Wiggo' but being skinny and a bunch of scientists telling you how fast to turn a pedal (and having your Olympic centric boss paying your more talented team mate to pedal slower) earns you nothing but ridicule ...

Clearly lightweight in some eyes. Worthy of the deepest respect in mine.

Sir Bradley is 'under the weather' at present, should he recover to full health he can still win this race.

I think you have a very narrow view of what constitutes a great rider if you don't admire Wiggins' achievements. That so many people seem to actually hate his completely normal personality seems similarly quaint.

See that started off exactly right ... 'don't admire' sums it up ...

    OK ... here goes ...

You obviously got fairly excited and spent a fair amount of time more than necessary responding ... Just saying you could have got a bit more out of those minutes ...

Wiggins was born in a country different to that which you strangely hold your sportsman dear ...

Wiggins' achievements have no connection or bearing on your life ... He wouldn't even usher you tnrough if he was trying to sneak a 2-for-1 deal through 10 items or less ...

Basically get a grip (of something else) ...
