    Anyone know what Blanco are doing on the front this late riding that hard?

    Arrangement on the road is
    two blokes at front

    correction

    one a spent force
    then duque
    then chasing group
    then peleton

    I've been there too. And if I remember correctly, behind the dam wall there is no lake at all, just the rock and earth which slipped down 50 years ago. This means about 50 m height of the dam wall on the "lake" side is now visible. The closest remnants of the lake are farther upstream, perhaps 2 km away, and the water there isn't allowed to rise to ever come close to the dam wall.

    Yes, I took some photos of this when I was there. They also showed us how high the water got to on the other side of the valley - it was amazing. Hard to visualise something so devastating!
