Plenty of time to get back. Drawing out the peloton into a line actually could make it "easier" for Nibali to get back through to the front.

Got the descent to catch up. Shouldn't be a problem.

Three Sky boys eat a gel at the same time. Must be in the Plan.

Based on nothing really Mat, other than today has some incredibly steep sections which I don't think Wiggins is that good at. I want Wiggins to win, but I don't have him down as being a great high mountains rider but then I could be completely wrong.

You could be right, but Nibali seems to have suddenly developed a rep as unquestionably being a better climber which I'm not sure I get. Kerrison keeps saying what great form Wiggins has but I'm not convinced. Today should tell us a lot.

Agree. Today should give us the insight. Nibali definitely seems a stronger rider this year than last.

Good to see Colombian at the front of the race on a big climb again. Break down to 4'30"

Ryder sat at the back, missed the middle part when TV went live what was he looking like?

Always has a bad day where he loses contention, though.

Totally repaved that descent since Dan Lloyd rode it for the preview. Looks lovely now.

Pellizotti (5mins back on GC) and Rosa from the same team, attack off the front of the Sky train. No one goes with them.

Not great news for Nibz. Tiralongo's struggling with bronchitis. And Aru has a bout of dystentery - apparently. No repeat of the LeMond peach incident, one hopes...

Sky seem to have got rid of most of the Astana team (I think).

And how many teammates have those two got left up there?

Presumably the plan is to isolate Nibali and then attack with Uran and Henao on the final climb?

Sky: Wiggins has 5; ditto Astana.
