Either the classic BFe in Bright Shiny Blue or the BFe in Gloss Bright Breen - I left it to the family to pick for me

@lexD, bike's looking awesome mate, you'll love the XT's, awesome brakes!! Was looking at the 10th anniversary decals for my BFe, but I wasn't sure they would go with the green frame, look sweet on the duck egg though!

That looks very nice. I second the XT comment, I have them on my Soul and they are great brakes.

Had time to squeeze in a quick 10 mile ride the winds were fooooking terrible. Loving the new wheel and tire combo not draggy and being fairly high volume nice bit of added cushion. XT brakes I am going to bleed as I prefer a firmer lever. The pads are a bit squeaky when you push on hard but I will give them time to bed in more but I can see a pad swap on the horizon.

Ive got the same breaks dude, and ive currently got a set of superstar Kevlar pads in and the seem awesome and for the £20 for 4 pairs, you cant go wrong!!

Yes they are good, got them in the niner deores and in the hope monos I took off so I may swap them over if they fit or buy another set as they are great value.

Been neglecting the soul recently by going out on the mega TR, so i decided to go for a blast on her.
She needs converting back to 2x10 as 3x10 is wasted for me. Also forced to make another mod.......... A rear childs seat .Unfortunately my son has out grown his top tube mounted seat on wifes bike so a replacement was purchased.
Bad news was due to my wife being an umpa lumpa (slightly less orange) riding a 15" hardrock the rear seat hasn't got the clearance on the rear tyre......bugger with fat boy sat in it. The slight brightside is at least it is quick release leaving just the mounting block behind.

As the soul is on family duties at present I have fitted some oh so skinny 1.75 small block 8 rubber that I got for the princely sum of 15 quid for the pair
Switched the saddle and grips to match for a change.
Had trouble getting them to seal tubeless but I got there in the end. Took the soul out to explore the surroundings round my new house, test the tyres out and throw the sealant around a bit. Wow they are fast rolling and the grip is pretty good considering the profile and they seem to clear the mud ok as well.

So pretty chuffed with my latest purchase and found some new tracks to keep me amused when I fancy a quick blat happy days...........

One of the lads I used to ride with hasa small block on the back, He never hung around Anywhere! Remarkably grippy for what Looks like a hardpack tyre! ;-)
