How do you find them cobolt wheels mate?
Ive heard and read on reviews that they are quite week and prone to buckling..?

I and a mate of mine have them and we have no issues during riding them but I don't I ride as hard or have the skill of Mr dodds wish I did though.
I have read the same reviews mine have the revised hubs so that isn't an issue and I haven't had to true them once yet.....
The first set I had I rejected due to a crack on the welded joint on the rim which I spotted during unpacking but CRC sorted it in their usual quick fashion. Other than that I love them.

Sweet, i think if i ever do meet you for a ride sometime that i may have to have a gander at them as i really like the look of them but the reviews just put me off. Nearly brought a set early this year but backed out as i really like my Mavic Crossrides

I can't believe the difference in shifting big difference from SLX . Do you have the clutch on the rear mech I found on the stand it seems a quicker and smoother shift with it off ??? What's you expirence with it as I have not rode it in anger yet.

Yes I have a clutch mech on it now. I lasted only a few rides on the spare none clutch I have and got sick of the chain bouncing off the front ring on rocky descents. It's so much better now, I don't think I will bother with none clutch mechs again.

The odi vans grips are off the bike as I am really struggling with my hands and these are not comfortable for me at all.
So this is a bit of a Hail Mary but there seems to be a lot of good press for these

Rebuilt the front hope master cylinder and calliper which went very well and treated it to new Kevlar pads all round and something else-

Going to put the Bronson's back on tomorrow as the trails are becoming increasingly boggy. I hope they seal better than the first time as I haven't much stans left.

Baby's got some new shoes- superstar carbon AM rims on switch hubs.





After a bit of a battle, I managed to get the single ply minion to seal with geax sealant from decathlon (forgot I had used the last of the stans up :oops:)
Just waiting for the ardent to pitch up for the rear. Also took advantage of CRCs deal on XT brakes and ordered a set for the wife to give me for Xmas

They are slightly lighter on my scales than the crank brothers (1680g) but they are 5mm wider and way stiffer.

Thanks don't think they are in the same solar system as your beautiful enve wheels. But I think they are worth a punt now they are reduced and the testing seems to show good results.
Will post how I get on with them

I do like the crankbrothers but they are a bit on the narrow side for what I want in future upgrades.

Thanks. I wish in some ways i'd actually saved the money and bought myself some Chinese carbon wheels from Light bicycle if I am honest, especially when you hear rocks hitting them LOL.

Every time I look at your bike I wish I had bought a blue soul, it looks lovely.

New XT brakes arrived on second attempt from CRC after first set failed to arrive. I can't fault their customer service it is top notch.



Also ordered some ispec b shifter covers to tidy the cockpit up.



The maxxis ardent also turned up which has been mounted on the back just need to add some sealent. Not impressed with superstars tubeless rim tape I ended using inch gorilla tape which worked a treat and a lot cheaper.

They were good sorting out the pads issue with the XTs I ordered just recently too. Less so with their pedals mix up last week.

Not got round to fitting the XT brakes as I have been working away but I have had time to slip on the new cotic 10 wrap.



Looks great with the carbon wheels and bars. Will take some decent pics later.

Finally had time to fit the xt brakes and ispec b shifter clamps. Trimmed the hoses and I think I won't need to bleed which is a bonus
