    Ok, so now Nibali and Ryder have both had trouble in the latter part. But both have lost less than they normally would.

    -I think he is trying to retrace. Nibali did better and Hesjedal did worse.

    Where has the idea that Hesjedal was a good time trialist come from? I remember reading a story years ago when Garmin had that horror TTT in the Tour, losing several riders in the first few km's and Hesjedal was 5th man; barely made it.

    He's solid but never been in the league of Evans, let alone the specialists. I'd say that's a fair performance from him - about what you'd expect if you actually look at his past.

    At least if wiggins still makes a race of it then we know he has todo something in the mountains now. No taking minutes and sitting in till the end - should make for a better race if he and Evans etc are all upfor it ad don't choke when scarponi and nibs inevitably try to pile on the pressure in the mountains.

    cracking from alex dowsett, not only do he do a great time trial, but he then had to endure having a TV camera right in front of him for a couple of hours!

    To be fair Quigley has been touting him as a 'TT strong man' all week. It's been annoying me and that's what i'm really getting at.
