today round the park I gave it my all I tried to find the hardest route's I could and gave the bike everything I had and it held up well.
few tight turns my pedals did scrape along ground while taking a tight corner at speed. not sure if that my bad riding style0 -
Of course that's bad riding. Your pedals should be switched or level depending on which way you're leaning.0

when cornering - it's basically this...Outside pedal down, inside pedal up, weight on outside pedal.0 -

It's an apostrophe, ffs. They're not difficult to use. Most primary school children can manage it.0

Yeah lay off this dude on his grammar, it's a forum at the end of the day not a final dissertation - if its legible then it's fine.andrewgrundill wrote:few tight turns my pedals did scrape along ground while taking a tight corner at speed. not sure if that my bad riding style0

If this is what you enjoy doing then keep it up. It sure as fark isn't mountain biking but that isnt a mountain bike, its a a bicycle styled to look a little like a mountain bike. Nothing wrong with it for what you ride.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

that makes sense I guess your right on some level there its not what I want to ideally but its what the cheap bike is best suited to im clearly not going to go racing around Cannock chase trials like all so called " mountain bikers" on something that cost less then £150 on eBay but I also cant justify spending £1000s on a bike to be "mountain biker" with a special "mountain bike" its all fine and well if you happen to own a car a bike rack have a few like minded friends live in a nice part of the country where mountain biking is more of a big thing but like me if you live in a smallish town in the middle of Suffolk with no need for a big mountain bike following and certainly no suitable areas within reach would you bother with £1000s of bike which you cant use and will probably be stolen anyway like some said on here no amount of locks will stop stuff being stolen. also I googled define mountain bike results are below
sorry if it seems im moaning.
Noun
A bicycle with a light sturdy frame, broad deep-treaded tires, and multiple gears, originally designed for riding on mountainous terrain.0 -
Cannock is not mountain biking. Its just sh1t.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I do believe so.
Also, no one is saying you need £1,000s of pounds worth of bike like you still seem to think. Many £300 pound bikes like were suggested to you (e.g. the RockRider) are more than good enough for all XC duites in the proper moutain bike world. Spend £500 on the correct bike at it will actually be very good.
Spending more does make them better but only in smaller and smaller amounts, what you get is lighter for your money and perhaps a little better funcationality, the actual strength remains pretty much constant in the same genre of bike.0 -

sorry my issue's are not with you there with this other idiot rockmonkeySC. I think rockmonkeySC fancies himself as some big shot with his proper "mountain" bike which is jus a overpriced toy im not surprised every hobby or club and internet forum has one there's 1000's of gaming so im jus going to let this go. enjoy your bike and your so called "mountain"biking.0 -
You are a bit of a tool. If you read what I wrote, I actually suggested that your bike is fine for what you do and if thats what you enjoy then keep at it.
You are correct, my bikes are expensive toys. I completely agree with that.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

im probably am going to buy a better bike im considering doing a charity off road bike ride. if your interested i'l post the link.

can i ask you a quick question what bike do you suggest i buy? so i can have a mountain bike. im pretty sure the rock riders at least £300 doesn't really qualify. all thou your nukeproof is really nice i could pay my debt with that and still have enough spare for a holiday. sorry to get on at you but. im guessing this is about the right region for a " mountain" bike
£1500 pick up tomorrow in thetford if i want it. that's over 2 months wages and or my entire credit card billed payed or 2 weeks in the Caribbean. and i would use it for exactly the same things are my current thrashing round a park and maybe once a month go to thetford and thrash it around a few trials. then jus stay sat in my shed. jus the spec website for the bike.

I am actually giving up on you.
You clearly have no clue about lots of things.
Any information generally regarded as fact you seem to ignore.
You seem incapable of learning, especially that thouGH has the gh and just is not a gravy and has a t on the end.
You think I'm a prick sometimes, you’ll always be a moron.0 -

sorry m8 everyones a prick sometimes don't take it personally
im jus think this whole mountain biking thing is a crock of shit. im sure that a £300 rockridder would be lovely give it a month don't the line and sure it wont feel any different to how my £150 thing feels and im sure a £3k nukeproof thing will feel exactly same 6 months down the line.
you all seem to be very much up yourself with you exspensive and often very impractical fancy toys. with the exception of a couple of people i don't think this forum is the right place for me. i came here hoping to find some advice on what cheap bike to buy i got constant reply's telling me to buy something £300 which i found a similar spec for £150 on ebay. yes i do enjoy cycling but i don't think this forum encourages enjoying it more for people with big egos and deep pockets. o look at this new shiny piece of kit it only cost £100s for a wheel or tyre or look at this new build bike so far its only cost me £1000s isn't it a bargin. why have a super car when the speed limits 70. may I add the classified section on this forum is a bloody joke some people must think half the world was born yesterday look at this lovely "retro" bike I found they found chucked in the back of shed and or skip they cleaned and put some stupidly over priced crap on it which was never designed for it and are now trying to sell to some idiot for than it cost brand new originally. having lot at the classified section on hear a lot while was thinking about buying a bike its all crap mainly that has been brought for cheap and modified beyond all reasonable doubt and now selling for stupid money if I had a ford escort and made it look like a Ferrari its still a escort and still only worth a few hundred not £1000's the few decent bike's which are on there are some guys expensive toy which is had spent £1000's on and is trying to sell now so he can afford to pay his mortgage or move house or save up for next years bloody model but his not trying to sell the bike at a sensible price and price that average person can afford oh no he's got some stupid thought in his head that seem it cost £3k when he brought it and he spent at least another £1k on over priced crap that I didn't need anyway it's now worth at least £4k of anyone's money because he's looked after it when in reality its worth probably worth half that much or less and that's to people who wanna buy it its probably worth a few hundred to the company who made and maybe few hundred to a shop as demo model
for a internet forum your very very big on grammar half people i know on actually own mountain bikes cant spell there own name yet alone go thou and check every word for perfection0
