No, his Power has to be higher, if he's heavier. Power to Weight is, as the name implies, a function of both."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Damn, looking at the photos Froome is so skinny and ripped. No way he can realistically shift weight for the Tour.Contador is the Greatest0

Have to agree would be hard for him to shift much without having an adverse effect on his output & probably his health tooPain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
disgruntledgoat wrote:TO be fair to Contador, that course had a 5km climb in the middle of it and was situated after 3 weeks of Tour de France. I'm not so sure why anyone would be shocked at a GC rider who can turn in a TT doing well.
Cancellara was also spitting tacks about him being given a free draft off the TV moto iirc
Froome looks very skinny, but not as gaunt as during the TDF last year yet I don't think - reckon there must be at least 150g left to shave off yet0 -

You don't get it do you, FF is just setting himself up for the "I told you after the Tirreno that there was no way that he could do it and yet here he is outperforming the cleanest, most honest, full of panache rider that's ever walked the earth" posts during the TDF. Apparently he's allowed to cast all the aspersions that he likes, the rest are not allowed to question anyone that doesn't wear Sky kit.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

No I do get it, but FF made a similar post regarding Frommie & his body weight vs his stick thin figure and was run over the coals for being harsh. If you take power output of the the equation (as neither rider can change that in such a short period of time) body weight is the only thing left.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -

IS that supposed to link to an ancient report of the Commonwealth Games? Not sure where you re looking....We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I think you are supposed to scroll down to the results table and see who was over a lap behind at the finish.0

Yep. He is not one of those riders who have been amazing performers from a young age.Contador is the Greatest0 -

You really are worried about him, aren't you?0

You really are fucking tiresome. You peddle all this shit and yet can't cope with a single comment, no matter how constructive, against any of your prefered riders. It's so frustrating because when you're not behaving like an arse you post some really good stuff.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

My guess is if Nibali or Contador grew up in Nairobi, you'd never have heard of them.Twitter: @RichN950 -

Didn't you say last week that all your posts were just your opinions?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I have a photo.
One I've just used in the powerpoint I'm preparing for tomorrow. I thought it might go well in here/or in the Sky train thread.

Nice one FF, often the fans pics capture the real emotion of the day - can there be another sport where the fans help the pros out of a recognition of their effort and suffering. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
