Short and technical enough for Sagan too perhaps.

    I'm going:

    Dowsett
    Martin
    Castroviejo
    Kwiatkowski
    Froome

It was a long list of DNF yesterday - but I suppose some of the riders may have dropped out yesterday as its one final TT stage today, so they put in their shift helping their GC or whatever and now they are not needed as such.
I tend to agree with this despite what Michele Acquarone put on Twitter: “Many people liked it but it was too much. We lost the balance. When one loses half the peloton, one must be honest and learn from mistakes”.
    And despite Cancellara’s moaning.
    PeteMadoc wrote:

I think the drop-out rate would have been far less if the stage had come earlier or was part of a longer tour.
    Evans has the right spirit.

    As for
Phinney told Cyclingnews. "[There was] no climb longer than 2km, yet over 10000 feet of climbing in total."
the official race info says yesterday had 2335 m climbing, so 7660 ft.

Tony Martin’s comments: “It was torture. We were all glad when we at last crossed the line“.
But also “Slowly but surely I’m coping with the climbs. In the two last difficult stages things went better then before. My legs feel good. I’m really motivated for the TT and I’ll try and ride to my maximum. Naturally I would have preferred a longer TT, but that’s the way things are”.

Even though its a short course today have read a few riders stating that the wind could be a big factor if its as changeable as expected. Not long now till the live feed is up so guess we will know a little more pretty soon.

If you look at the results, lots of riders you would expect to get smoked on yesterday's stage were reasonably high up.

    Greipel finished. Class.

Frenchie I'm not surprised that the gorilla made it up, he might not have the body of a climber but he is one tough cookie

Eurosport: "It has rained very, very hard in these last 15 minutes..."

    Surprised?!

Last year it was dry (and slightly longer I think) where he got 10.36

I was referring to the fact it has rained almost every day this race!

Malori beats Cancellara (10.31). Dowsett currently 4th (10.48)

Where is a good ticker for this? I am trying to follow this one, but would prefer something in english as my italian is abysmal at best.

Yeah but TBF the overhead shots as I sat down looked quite dry its was only when you car to the moto camera that you can see the rain!

As for the weather yeah I guess its fair to expect some rain as its what they have had to contend with all week.

"Why should the fan brave cold and rain on the side of the road?" this morning's Gazzetta dello Sport asked. "Because there's Vincenzo Nibali."
"What would cycling be without the courage of Nibali?" Gazzetta continues. "Only waiting-and-seeing."

Some bloke stamping down some road furniture that has raised after the last little corner. Lets hope we don't get too much more rain or could be interesting.

He has just redeemed himself though with a suggestion of Sky looking at all 3 grand tours this year

Tough break: starting a 9Km TT 1 min in front of Tony Martin. That's worth indulging in prior-stage shenanigans to avoid.

Cataldo currently 5th, a Mahoosive 23s behind Martin, the current leader.
