many thanks, im talking in terms of over the gp weekend where we will probably be camping next to the course which is apparently adjacent at spa? and gets very lively of an evening?? can you verify this or are your experiences strictly limited to the paddock.

A bit behind the curve with this but can verify that Spa GP is great to visit and yes, the campsite bars etc do get lively.

Lovely part of the world too.

You can get to a town (Verviers?? the map says this is about 32km from the circuit but I'm sure we got closer by train ) very close to the circuit by train from London (or at least that's what we did) thus negating the nominated driver conundrum. I wouldn't bother with anything other than the standard entry ticket (ie not bronze, silver, gold etc)as the part "street circuit" nature of the track means that there are loads of places to watch. I my experience I would not recommend getting to the circuit for 4.30am on race day to ensure a good place (like you have to at Silverstone) as nobody turns up till about 11 and the bars don't open till 8 am anyway!

We had a great long weekend.

There appears to be some seriously misguided presumptions on this thread?

I get the sense that Vtech isn't employed by F1 at all?

Can you please confirm or deny this as having read the thread loads of people are suggesting you are yet you haven't responded? Seems to be a lot of posters hanging on the fact you work for a team and that this day will be F1 linked?

Any clarity on that?? Way I read it is that you know a few people and have some contacts? No doubting your kind offer to host a day but the constant presumptions and unanswered questions are consuming the thread and making it more of a speculative mess!

    thanks

I don't care if it's F1 related. Was only the bike stuff that interested me personally :P

I work in software, both as an owner of a software company and for a well established motorsport company. I hope you will understand that for obvious reasons I would like to go no further on this forum as it will only attract far more negativity than is needed.

in the last 2 pages there are several comments suggesting you must work in F1, and one poster on this page almost asserting you work for Red Bull.

It was just getting a little silly, and apparent a lot of people may be jumping on the offer more for F1 related reasons than cycling.

Clearing up you don't work in F1 might just put a stop to the unnecessary F1 references and constant speculation. That's all!

Oh and some people should just get off the OP back, I used to frequent a football forum and as an arsenal fan a few of us off the forum met up and went to see some games and actually became quite a good bunch of friends.
