There's no way he would have admitted anything without the french investigation. He was a keeper of the omerta just months ago denying everything,
Must be Aussie this guy despite saying 'you Australians' in the article.
I found the distinction a little odd, Stuey won PR in 2007 after all. you put him in the Big Hitter category.
Perhaps not completely comparable but I still stand by the point.
O'Grady has made loads. No question about that.
And after his admission, I'm not buying that P-R win one second.0 -

This is the exact description of Froome up the Ventoux!
"I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean. From the interactions I’ve had with him over the years he’s been a complete gentleman and his performances certainly haven’t come from nowhere."
"It crushes me to to read the stuff anonymous commenters on forums write .........."
I'm starting to think Frenchie might be @diggerforum0 -

TSP will be a combination of different people I'd have thought.0

I've never read The Secret Pro before. What a worthy read. We should all be masters of our own opinion but when you hear from someone who basically works alongside Froome tell you what a decent guy he is and how he is considered clean then perhaps some forumites should give that opinion a little more credence.0

The O'Grady comments are hard to swallow. It's people like O'Grady who are part responsible for the abuse he (TSP) and Froome have to put up with today.0

To clarify, I was agreeing with you TomTom, I find the distinction TSP made between O'Grady and other high profile dopers a little odd. I loved seeing O'Grady win P-R. Whereas now in my mind he is just another cheat who could have come forward by his own volition and helped heal the sport.0 -
O'Grady at least never shat on the sport on his way out like Hincapie ... GH took as much money as he could then 'fessed up' when any sanction meant nothing (especially financially) ...
I understand why Horner disrespected him on the Champs ...0 -
Trying to draw moral or ethical lines for doping and indeed sport more generally is pointless.
Arguing the toss about who was a more respectful doper is even more pointless.0 -

though while seemingly a reasonable statement its odd to note the main reason why this is all coming to light in the first place is because people did just that.
they knowingly sectioned off Lance and the Hog from others as a target.
The notion that JB gets het up with JV online I find rather funny if not ridiculous. effectively they are arguing just that. who has more ethics.
while clearly they should have no say in the matter I would suggest its not JB"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. don't worry when the UKpostals are revealed for what they are stuey's hypocrisy will be back on par
just kidding folks.
Also I find it rather satisfying/surprising that these lies small/white/whoppers are all getting found out so far down the line.
joking aside I agree with you. It's a good point."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
You’ll know this already but the post-Tour crits are completely fixed. That doesn’t mean they’re easy though. We still do our best to put on a show for the crowd. Part of the show is the fact that the organiser tells us before the race what the finishing order will be, who gets the sprint primes, who leads out who, who gets in breaks, and generally how the race will play out. But the day after Paris is always the funny one. Every last rider is hung over from the party on the Champs-Élysées and we always make a mess of it. It’s tough to get right even without a hangover!
I'm relatively new to following the sport and had no idea this was the case.

The worst example I ever saw was in the nineties when mountain biking looked to be the big thing and they had an indoor arena VTT course with berms tabletops etc but with the tour riders.
Indurain was hopeless technically on a mountain bike over the obstacle course and watching Rominger pretending not to wait for him was hilarious"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Interesting about the elephants...I wonder who Alberto, Andy, Damiano et al.
TSP is North American, or he learnt how to speak English from an American perspective I think. Just the language he uses such as 'couple things' instead of 'couple of things' and other examples. Do Aussies say this sort of thing too?
With regard to the doping of a few years ago FF, then just watch some 1998-2009 mountain stages and see the difference.0 -

There are a few clues then. He rode the Dauphine. He's not a shoe-in for the Tour. I think he's American/Canadian (even if it is a ghost writer). He seems to have been around for a few years.0

http://cyclingtips.com.au/2013/09/the-s ... ason-lull/
He is in Canada now, presumably riding Tour of Alberta, so that narrows it down some more. Names cropping up again and again on start lists.
He is also selective about who he like and doesn`t like with regard those who have been linked to doping:
It’ll be interesting to see what happens to guys like Andreas Kloden. Now he’s a fantastic guy. I love it how he cruises around with the European Union flag on his helmet instead of the German one. He’s quite an individual and makes his subtle stance on the way he’s been treated by his home country.
Interesting point:
“Contract year” is always a running joke. For one reason or another, riders will often have a smashing year when they’re motivated by needing a contract in the next 12 months. Those BMC guys have it good though. We call it “the BMC virus” – they often sign their riders for three years, which allows the riders to put their legs up, have a two year vacation, then come out in their contract year and smash it.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Kind of sad when he says no one wanted to win for fear of showing a clen +ve from something they ate after being tested. I like that story about the motorpacing.
With the Tour of Beijing and Japan Cup startlists along with the other races he has mentioned about competing in I suspect we should be able to narrow down who it is pretty closely.Contador is the Greatest0
