hmm.. are we seeing the marginal benefits of aero bikes in practice?

BMC on their Time Machines vs. Sky on the Dogma.

I doubt it, more likely the BMC riders just rode faster. Sky very rarely do as well in TTTs as you would expect them to.
  • Stannard and Rowe were wearing skinsuits with 'Knees' on the side.

Did they put their legs in the wrong holes?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

It's why the pros are often happy to stand next to middle aged geezers in Lycra - it's a win-win for all concerned.
  • 30km to go today.

All together as far as I can tell.

Stage 3 Live now. 28km to sprint finish. All together. Bonus Matt Rendell poetry, embedded in peloton, on back of moto.

Peloton in a very civilised penguin huddle against side-wind. Cease-fire up-front.

Doesn't look like the crosswinds are coming today.
  • someone really needs to have a word to BMC about their helmets.
  • If only it was as windy there as it is here today....

Oh well this is conducive to getting some work done.

Sky and BMC aero-domes; subverted by EBH's extravagant mullet. Cav seen negotiating a last 10km sponsorship deal.
