But that is LL tempering his expectations. In reality he'll be disappointed with anything other than JTL going solo from the gun and winning by 10 minutes.
Having stopped off for a Devon cream tea halfway through
I'm going to have that wet dream later...
That's put me right off clotted creamSaracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car
Vitus Sentier VRS - 20170 -
Today...
Pip stretched his legs in a 2 man breakaway that lasted almost the entire stage
Nervy, fast and furious crashtastic run-in, with parked cars and lack of barriers not helping. First "Carrots down" shout of the season, and at 750m a Blanco rider brought down several other guys inc Impey and Goss.
Greipel won (zzzzz)
G still leads with no time lost to closest guys on GC
All set up nicely for Old Willunga Hill tomorrow0 -
So I just plowed through 3 pages of guff and the only race related post on the stage, literally just one, can't identify the blanco crasher.0

Is it going to be a bad day at the office?0 -
Stannard looking very heavy and has ugly shoes
Geraint looking lean and fit with white socks and shoes
Next Sky rider has black socks and shoes

Can't believe how lean Thomas is looking. He's actually finally starting to excite me as a prospect for some BIG races.0 -
Geraint is such a great guy, deserves to have a decent year. Keep him away from Froome & Wiggo and I think he'll have a great year.0

He's riding for the BIg Boys at the Tour. But before that his payback is now through the Classics.0 -

Regrettably my Christmas gift voucher for ''Teach Yourself to Write a Race Report at 3.30am in 10 Easy Lessons'' only stretched to Lesson 1.
Soz.

LL, there was a cheeky JTL addition to the pundits in the Sky studio for this morning's coverage.
Just so that you know.0 -

Excellent, I will keep a look out on YouTube (I don't have Sky )0 -

Not nice of the Aussie to be pulling back on his saddle like that
It's always one of the better things to see in cycling, it would be nice if the media showed that side of the sport occassionally./0 -

Thanks for summary - you keep it up.
Just adding to it with this carrot shot:

Looking forward to double Wilunga tonight; think G might struggle with someone like Slagter taking the time bonus at the finish. Moreno and Machado were both in the top 7 last year too.0

Ye Turfle of little faith0

My positivity disappears on the morning of every stage.0

And they're off and it's fast.
Happy Australia Day.0 -
Top of Old Willunga Hill the first time. Sky let everyone else chase down the eventual break of 7 (took about 40 mins for break to establish itself, excellent to watch) who were caught at start of climb. No fireworks on first climb.0

Well that was an exciting final 2km. Well done Gerrans on an Aussie Aussie day stage win and even more so Slagter for taking the ochre jersey. Geraint simply didn't have the legs to keep up with them in the final km and is now 29sec down in 5th.0
