Heated windscreen when it's frosty, although it didn't cheer me up enough to compensate for having to drive around the Kingston one way system.

This week it thinks I'll be interested in listening to "I could be so good for you" by Dennis Waterman and " Wired for Sound" by Cliff Richard.

My sister's ex boyfriend's dad wrote 'Wired for Sound" 8)

    Alan Tarney??

Went to a couple of bass guitar workshops with him, a very very good bassist......learnt a lot from him!!

Chicks? No doubt you are confusing this with the chickens in the garden thread.

Calling the female of our species 'chicks' , especially the young, hot ones, will get you labelled as misogynist and some w@nker will be along to start a hashtag thingymebob.

On reflection, I would put hashtag thingymebobs into the things that annoy thread.

In Southampton today and just seen a transporter lorry leave the docks stacked with Nissan CashCows. Everyone of them had the alarms blaring out and hazard lights flashing. Very amusing.

Feeling cold, tired and out of energy, with my legs and lungs screaming at me near the end of today's ride, I looked down (Froome style) just at the right moment to see the "elevation gain" change from 999 to 1,000m.

It wasn't a commute. I was riding for "fun"

I was just peering out of the window, in suburban south London, but it was still beautiful.

    TDL from BP.

Infectiously fun and lovely. So diddy you could keep her in a box and whenever you felt down get her out to cheer you up with her brilliant ridiculousness.

Yeah. But when I try to do that for real the whole world seems to go "armed response unit" and "hostage negotiator" on me.

They are just overreacting. Explain the score, hardcore, see, and they’ll understand.

    They’re probably just jealous tbh.

Not sure that it is that trivial but wasn't sure where else to post it...

After months of some pretty serious health issues, both physical and mental, I rode my bike outdoors for the first time since mid September yesterday and everything (healthwise) was fine, and i loved every minute of it, yeah it was cold and windier than i'd have liked but being outdoors and on my bike was a complete joy. So much so i cycled to work today for the first time in a very long time.

Sometimes "normal" or "trivial" things are still beyond me but to be able to do something as simple as riding my bike genuinely brought a tear to my eye yesterday! Make the most of the little things is my advice!

Things are really looking up after a very long time of gradual decline including a very long time on a waiting list but the treatment i needed started before xmas and seems to be helping so far! so it's all good, just need spring to kick in and then i'll be able to get out on the bike even more!

To the cheer up. Watching the Spacex live webcast tonight of the test flight of Falcon Heavy, putting a Tesla convertible payload into a Mars solar orbit. First, supercool, inc the Bowie Starman music, 2nd takes me back to childhood days and the Apollo Saturn5 launches.

It was the two booster rockets landing back on earth motor down that I found incredible -- so much so at first I thought it was a hoax. Like bloody Thunderbirds !

Unfortunate;y, the 3rd rocket didn't land on Donny and took old Arnold's allotment shed clean out.
