The nice motorist who gave me a nice "good on you" hoot of his horn as I rode safely psst a long line of stationary cars on the way into work. I think that's why he used his horn but it did cheer me up a lot. Put me in good humour for a sh1tty day.

If only more motorists were that nice!
How did you interpret the toot as "good on you" for riding safety past a long line of stationary cars?

Hey as long as it made him happy that's all that's required for this thread.

(Shame it was a Reliant though :) )
Robins seem all sweet and nice chirping away but what they're really saying is "Dig you b@stard, dig!"

I must take a picture of Freddy the Pheasant (he's a star). He has taken to coming very close to me when I feed the birds.
The Robin seems to be getting flustered as this giant has taken over the patch where I spread a bit of seed around.

Having done a two and a half hour ride into a nagging headwind, I got home to a hot shower and then, two fish finger sandwiches.....life’s good!!

Measuring the accuracy of my new watch (mechanical not quartz) and finding it is within 2 seconds a day (which is apparently quite good). I'm not a watch geek but my old Citizen eco drive is getting on for 20 years old and given that the minute hand pulsates in time with the second hand I figured it does not have long for this world.
Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)
Ribble Gran Fondo, Campagnolo Centaur (winter bike)
    Van Raam 'O' Pair
Land Rover (really nasty weather  )

Anything within 10/15 seconds is good. 2 seconds is great.

A headwind for the duration! How did you manage that; no tail wind at any point?

Well, I was getting slightly peeved that my current cheap nasty digital watch, unlike the three or four that have done me for the last twenty years or so, gained more than a second a day. Thanks for cheering me up.

Glad to be of service :P . My old Citizen is incredible, only gains 1 second in 6 months, pity the minute hand likes to do the lambada :(

I went to a Steps concert there once with an American friend. After the gig we spotted the band waiting in line at the chippie. My friend said "Gee! see H queue!"

Anyhow, there's no such thing as real gold top jersey milk.

    The packaging is yellow.

    Yellow

    Green

    Blue

    Orange

You big city boys know nothing, see.

Glass bottle of jersey milk? English filth.

Not proper jersey milk. Maudeline brings it across when she goes to see Edwyn Sticks who moved over there after the winds of 78 took out his barn and fellatio school.

    Glass bottles. Frickin' hipsters......

This is what you want, see. http://classicfarmshop.com/category/products/dairy/

    Glass bottles. FFS.

It’s for people who live in London to put in their nut decaf latte.
